You need to broaden your horizon, and think about the bigger picture. Chinese automobile plant in India will not be Indian market specific, it can cater to other south asian, african, middle east markets too.

Well, it will be India specific. Chinese don't need Indian labor to export to S.asia. They have SL & if stable environment allows , BD for that. U are again sounding like India is the center point concerning investment in S.aisa. India doesn't own S.asia.

And rise of labor cost in chian is far cry from now. They still have the economically underdeveloped W.china to supply them labor.

Dude India is already home for US, Japs & European automakers.

They have helped our economy partially by building manufacturing plants, providing employments to educated peoples and also giving run for money to indian motor company improving their product standards and quality.

Chinese auto makers which are far behind the US/Japs/European manufacturers in Car Industry will not do any different thing than this.

anyone who has been unfortunate enough to ride in Kinglong buses will give you a better opinion about Chinese automobile quality and safety.

That includes me. Gladly MSRTC gave back the (free) kinglong buses back to the company after one of it caught fire on the highway.
