What's new

China's arming Pakistan makes it second class enemy

Who is India to question that?

Those missiles and nuclear weapons point towards us, so yes!

Awkaat daikhi hai aapnay apni?

haan dekhi hai, isiliye puch rahehe

BTW good strategy, India keeps piling mountains of military hardware and also keeps raising question on others!

Our militarization started after 1962, and most of was directed against the Himalyan threat.

He is surly going to contest elections this time around. Anyone who want's shortcut political success in india becomes anti Pakistan first and politician second.

not true sir

being anti Pakistani doesn't guarantee success in Indian politics

or else you would have seen dozens of Indian elections revolving around anti pak agenda and parties winning election on that agenda

This is what happens when a state holds too much stake in another state.

It is true to a certain extent. India and China can be really good allies and perhaps combine really well to become economic giants rather than coming in each others way and tryin gto sabotage one another. Maybe its a dream for the future, but it doesnt hurt to dream does it? Its not like China has ever seriously tried to hurt India (or vice versa) after 1962, so its best to leave the baggage of history in the past.

The statement has to be read on lines of the business prospects with TATA becoming a major player as a defence firm with lots of alliances with world defense companies. The guy even flew in a F-18. So he is enthusiastic.

and India, I think, has been more concerned about China's economic strength overpowering India, which we really don't see

:argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:

China's GDP : 7.2 trillion dollars.

Indian GDP : 1.5 trillion dollars.

When asked if he is worried about China, he said: "No, I am not worried. I wish we could find a way to be allies with China."

Your government is not doing anything for this.

Up side- TATA's revenue- US$ 83.3 billion
Down side- TATA's total assets US$ 68.9 billion
Central side -TATA's profit per year US$ 5.8 billion

Funny side- Pakistan total defense budget for 2012 -$5.82 billion.

The guy has money to buy all ur toys.

So basically

from India's point of view

China - enemy
Pakistan - enemy
Bangladesh - enemy
Nepal - communist outpost now so enemy
Sri Lanka - accepts Chinese investment so enemy.
Maldives - Islamic "hothouse" so enemy.

Have I got that right?
No, not at all u got such a myopic view i must say
All u wana see is a black n white world

Let me rearange the order for u dear frnd -
1.China- china is neither an enemy of india nor frnd but could turn into potential enemy or frnd (50:50 chances)
We do have some unresolved issues with them but those can be solved with dialogue

2.pakistan - we have been enemies for quite a long time n we r till now but people of both countries r looking for a better n peaceful future

3.Bangladesh - neither the indian govt. Nor a normal layman see bangladesh as an enemy. The only major problem from india's perspective has been illegal immigration for which 75% fencing has been completed n hopefully it would be finished by year end

4.sri lanka - a normal indian(except the tamils) don't see sri lanka as an enemy n do want better relations with u

5.Nepal - i don't knw what make u believe india see nepal an enemy. Nepalese r way more integrated to india then u can ever dream of

5.Maldives - its already on the verge of sinking n other than that indian govt. Do have cordial terms with them

so how r they all enemies when we r at cordial terms with all (except pakistan), we have economic interests attached to them n our companies r investing good chunk of money in them

Im sorry.. did I hurt you guys?
here..

I was talking about ratan's views on Chinese goods and manufacturing quality...No idea where Pakistan came into this(but I guess you cant help it.. can you??)
Wow.. a lot of shattered glass houses here for the tiny self exploding car.
Its just a reflection of Quality.. Mr Ratan should check his own before making such statements.

apparently u shud have researched a lil...dunno y a data digging guy like CD has thanked u

nano got a clean chit from all investigations done on causes of fire...it was found that the fire was caused due to some deliberate malfunctioning in the electronics...even in the brand new cars...

only failures are highlighted by u people right??

I think you need to go back to his quote again, you seem to have misunderstood:

and India, I think, has been more concerned about China's economic strength overpowering India, which we really don't see

He admits that China is overpowering India economically, but says that we (general Indians) are less worried about China overpowering India economically and more worried about China's political inclinations towards Pakistan.
