Agree, Crimea was also Turkish before Russia invaded and captured it from the Turks. Should Turkey have any right to one day reclaim it back? There's no provision in international law to discuss that as well.
In fact even Mongolia was illegally carved out by Russia from China during China's weak period, should CCP collapse one day and another nationalistic party come to power one day ,they can also decide to take back Mongolia (note that the Chinese nationalist party KMT still considers Mongolia as part of China, they never recognised the treacherous Soviet Russia carving out Mongolia from the Republic of China for example). So all bets could be off again for Mongolia if CCP one days loses power and another nationalistic party comes to power. There is no provision in international law to discuss such a situation. Japan has a similar linguering issue of its land being invaded and captured by Russia in the kurils islands after Japan surrendered to the US. Russia still occupies those islands , not counting the vast land they stole/captured from China in oiter manchuria during the 8 nations alliance era (the only European power in the 8 nationa alliance to have kept China's territory to this day is Russia. Lol) etc etc
All these examples have one thing in common RUSSIA. Lol One of the most hungry land grabbing country on earth. They are not the biggest country on earth by coïncidence
Ahahahah...agree, that ambassador is doing a great job. He should continue with his great works. im sure Central asian and eastern European countries are all celebrating such news from Chinese ambassador.
Yes, that's how China sees it.
In the Chinese mindset, stealing is stealing and will not change with time.
It's like the British Museum, even though things there were looted from all over the world a hundred years ago. But we still think it's a showroom of incriminating evidence. Just because it happened in the 19th century doesn't make it legal.
Let's be a little more direct. China's goal is to clean up the colonial past. Not a hypocritical colonialist saying sorry is the end. Borders need to be restored, antiquities returned, dirty wealth confiscated and crimes written down in history.
The Potsdam Proclamation limited Japanese territory to the four mainland islands. What's your problem? That is a lie. See Roman Empire and German Empire. Or how about WW II JPN?
