China's $22 trillion time-bomb

dude plzz go and buy some apartments before ur real estate is destroyed.

LOL, nice video from Gordon Chang.

He predicted that China would collapse in 2006, 2008, 2011, and recently said it will happen in 2012 as well.

.
Actually debt is not a problem as long as it is denominated in your own currency, and the capital is being used efficiently.

China may have a problem with efficient utilization, but overall it is not a critical issue.

All modern economies run on debt, maybe the authors don't understand the monetary system.

. . .
The collapse threads ................

I dont believe collapse predictions, nor India nor China nor US is going to collapse in next 20-30 years.

Then forget future predictions, let's have a look at current facts. :azn:

Indians always like to claim that India is the "second-fastest growing major economy in the world".

The problem... is that India is only growing at 6.1%.

Meanwhile... Turkey, Argentina, Sri Lanka etc. are all currently growing above 8%+.

They are small markets comparatively.
Lanka won't even cross 1 TN$ mark ever.

Turkey and Argentina are both major economies, and both growing at above 8%+.

India isn't even growing the fastest in South Asia alone.

So there goes the common Indian saying, of being the "second-fastest growing major economy in the world". First beat Sri Lanka, and then you can talk about outside South Asia.

.
we are doing that much faster than u.

faster speed means more to pay in less time.

Turkey and Argentina are both major economies, and both growing at above 8%+.

India isn't even growing the fastest in South Asia alone.

loll in that way quatar is the worlds fastest with 18.7% growth. it only matter for major big economies like india china brazil us and eu and japan.

You can't count local debt as part of national debt. THE US DOESN'T FOR ITS CALCULATIONS.

You also can't count "unfunded liabilities" as part of national debt, whether that be social security or high speed rail. Why? BECAUSE THE US DOESN'T.

If you applied the same standards you applied to China, to the US, their debt would be 50 trillion.

.

yup japan is a classic example of a country of high iq destroyed by local debt. what abt china soon???

.
what i dont understand is how a thread about China suddenly become a thread about India and Mods keep looking the other way.. Is it a part of taller than mountains and deeper than seas phenomenon or has the govt of Pakistan not allowed the mod team to issue infractions against Chinese brothers ???
