India hasn't world's largest military industrial complex like China for sure but it's there in top 5. It's PSUs and companies aren't biggest but at least they hold a position among them.

FYI, they are already manufactured in America.
Company only assembles them in China. Assembly is something India has no technical problem. We have a lot of such plants.

Apple opened assembly plants in China because of its market. Now, most of Chinese who could buy expensive phones have these phones. So, Chinese market is saturated.

This is obvious that they will move to second market India now who has still an unsaturated class and that even growing. Ij fact, Apple is efforting more than Indian Government for it (ask for source).

It's a high time & golden opportunity for India for pulling manufacturing and not only assembly of Apple.
India's Fabs are nearly ready (first is to be operational this year ) and Apple starts assembly. Within 10 years, if India completes it's mass production of semiconductor target as of National Electronics Policy 2016, it can itself export cheap stuff. One more thing, China had advantage of cheap labour which it has lost now to India, agree or not.

The most travelled top diplomat in US history ends his trip by attending the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos Switzerland on Jan. 18, just two days before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in office with former oilman Rex Tillerson nominated as his replacement.

Kerry and Sen. John McCain, who was held prisoner of war when his navy jetfighter was shot down over Hanoi during the war, were key participants in the U.S’s efforts to normalizing relations with former foe Vietnam in 1995.

Honestly, I just read it on some other media outlet, not even GlobalTimes, though for recent articles, I can find you out.

For A5 missile, I really don't care, it can be adjusted by payload and motors. Pushing the spacecrafts thousands of kilometres away, ballistic missile tech isn't really a challenge.

Rest about intolerant attitude etc, it is up-to you how you handle such matters and after all, we have a magic trick by agreeing to disagree and move on. In-case of offensive posting, you can report the post and leave it to the respective team to handle. To understand that, we have many TTA/TTC from India so it all depends how you post being productive and qualitative. If you have something to share w.r..t your interested subject, you can create a thread with all the contents in respective section though members cannot be stopped from creating of thread until & unless it is not duplicate of the same news etc. however, your own work of observation, findings or experience would be appreciated. There is a criteria to become Mod or any other title holding, best known to Admin but to start with such work, you have to write quality and leave the rest to the team. Titles are not awarded as per personal request alone. Have a nice time...

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived in Vietnam Monday with promises of financial aid and military patrol boats as both nations challenge China’s maritime claims to neighboring seas.

Following a ceremonial state reception from Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Abe met Communist Party Secretary-General Nguyen Phu Trong, the de-facto leader of Vietnam’s single party communist state.

Speaking at a press conference following the meeting, Abe pledged support for increasing Vietnam’s naval capabilities in the South China Sea.

“Japan will help Vietnam to strengthen its maritime capacity as it gives Vietnam new patrol vessels, under the request from Vietnam,” said Abe, who also announced a 130 billion yen ($1.05 billion) loan for Vietnam in 2017.

Japan has previously supplied patrol boats for Vietnam's coast guard, which received several vessels from Tokyo last year.

Vietnam and Japan are both locked into maritime disputes with China, which claims large swathes of the South China Sea and the East China Sea.

Territorial claims to the waters, which contain some of the world’s busiest shipping lanes, have provoked international controversy and raised fears of violent naval clashes.

The U.S. Navy frequently conducts “freedom of navigation” operations in the South China Sea with the stated goal of asserting the sea’s international water status under the UN Convention on the Laws of the sea.

China’s artificial islands in the South China Sea, which are allegedly outfitted with sophisticated weaponry, has been a particularly strong sticking point for Hanoi, Tokyo and Washington.

Rex Tillerson, who is U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s leading nominee for secretary of state, vowed to forcibly block Chinese access to the artificial islands in his Jan. 11 address to the U.S. Congress.

India and Vietnam share a strategic partnership. Defence cooperation, including supply of defence equipment, is an important aspect of this partnership. Both countries have held discussions on range of issues in this regard.

This information was given by Minister of State for Defence Dr. Subhash Bhamre in a written reply to Shrimati Santosh Ahlawat and others in Lok Sabha today.
