China ‘will use hard-kill weapons to Destroy THAAD missiles in war with US’

Beijing has issued a chilling warning to Donald Trump demanding the “immediate” withdrawal of THAAD from South Korea. US defence chiefs confirmed THAAD was “operational” on Monday as tensions with North Korea threaten to spiral out of control.
China has repeatedly condemned the deployment of the missile system over fears it could hit its territory. Last week defence ministry spokesman Yang Yujun said THAAD would threaten stability in the region. n response, Yujun said China would hold live-fire drills and test new weapons to safeguard its security.
He said: “The Chinese military will continue to conduct practical targeted live-fire drills, as well as test new weapons and equipment, to defend national security and regional peace and stability.”Yesterday, a second foreign ministry spokesperson, Geng Shuang, said China will “firmly take necessary measures to uphold our interests”.
THAAD is capable of shooting down short, medium, and intermediate range ballistic missiles from the sky. But Beijing defence analyst Li Jie said that China could take measures to destroy the THAAD system.
Li said: “China can use its traditional Dongfeng series short and medium-range missiles as hard-kill weapons in case there is a war. “For soft-kill, it means it’s possible that Beijing may try using electromagnetic pulse warheads as well as electronic interference technologies to disrupt the radar system of THAAD.”

Both Moscow and Beijing are united in their condemnation of the THAAD system.Li added: “The message sent by China and Russia is very clear, they are joining together to deal with the THAAD deployment.” China has been ramping up its defences over fears Japan and Taiwan may entertain the idea of hosting US THAAD systems.
Military bosses from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are said to be aiming 2,000 missiles at Taiwan as part of an escalating military threat to the island.

This one i can keep simple.

First of all, the Chinese have a point (yes, i read the headlines at defence.pk/pdf just now, that's why i'm giving you this update aka civilian-doing-your birds-eye-view analysis for you)..

The Chinese do not want land-based (which tend to stick around like US naval bases around the globe) anti ICBM military equipment, planted on South-Korean soil. They are right in this.

So, back to the shortness & sweetness of this message.. (and yes, i'll have to post this in that China thread over at defence.pk/pdf forums too)..

How do you shoot down an ICBM properly? Not with semi-clumsy single shots of a interceptor missile. You shoot about 50 missiles after eachother, all targetting 1 single ICBM..
Explosive yield on each interceptor missile is say... 2 kilos (4 pounds) of C4, and some pebbles that like to work to gether with C4 (aka pebbles that dont evaporate when the C4 explosive ignites).

And from where do you shoot down ICBMs? From silent small/large sub-marines, or from airplanes (big ones you already have in your arsenal), or from larger air-drones, ofcourse (&indeed) , ladies and gentlemen.

i was the one holding back the Israeli calls for a pruning of the Iranian nuclear program, i am now letting you know it's no time to let this bullshit (on the diplomatic inter-country level continue.. this is not a sportscompetition, or a beauty-pageant competition, this is about stopping nuclear proliferation and it's a very very deadly matter.

It appears that you have no idea what the attitude of SOR people is towards THAAD .
China just want to control the territories which belong to him .

It's worth noting that the THAAD system isn't even popular in South Korea, where it has been deployed. There have been consistent protests against it, with claims that it brings needless provocation and instability to the region; Again, this is coming from The South Koreans themselves, not just Fat boy Kim, and China.

They (Chinese government and intel services) got every right to complain, in whatever tone and loudness they want.. Don't forget, North-Korea is an important bufferzone for the Chinese, a bufferzone AGAINST US-surround-and-control tactics.

Taiwan, Japan, already 'under US protection', look at the map dude.. You can't do that to any country (full of people who get plain scared about being surrounded by military hardware and relatively dumb always-following-orders military personell).. You can't do that to any country, let alone superpowers like Russia and China.

And i'm gonna keep advocating over here in Europe (i don't mind it going back to the BENELUX (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg) roots of that European Union alliance, that we in Europe do NOT increase our defense spending.
