Wow! in 90 days? Only the sky is the limit.

thats what i thought..that's why i was bewildered..

I don't know why you guys are so bewildered. If you had read the first part of the article you would have seen it.

Or any of the multiple videos that have been posted on this thread.

Btw if it's pre fabricated,nothing special:devil:

Nothing special?

Who else in the world has built a 30-story building in 15-days?

I don't know why Indians are so quick to look down on this. As a developing country, India should be looking for ways to catch up with the developing world, instead of sneering at developing countries who are actually trying.

Looks cool, but construction will start in 2015 and will end in 2019. If this experiment of Chinese become successful than by that time they will master the technology and can break the record in mater of days.

I think the quality of the building that is more important than people build it fast or slow.
We still remember the high-speed rail in China.

Let's see, a 13-story building in Shanghai which collapsed how fast:

Maybe this is an unwelcome comment, but that's my opinion seriously. The important thing is not the fastest, highest ...but it is the best.

I remember that incident was caused by geological reasons. And just as a side-note, the building had "none" of its glasses shattered, and the building fell down in "one piece". To me, that is saying the building itself is of very high quality and so is the glasses, but the constructors failed to inspect the geology careful enough.

.
The problem with the collapsed building is obviously geological. Obviously it's still a problem and the site should have either not been selected or readied better. But who can honestly claim that their developing country has first world standards? Every developing country has corruption, under table deals etc... Sadly it's only through such accidents that standards get better. That's the only way and we saw it in Europe and USA. If accidents happen in China it's because they're building stuff while other developing countries are sitting on their behinds, that's pretty much it.

That building in the pic is obviously a mass housing project and it's nothing similar to the project being discussed.

. .
One person died in that accident, it's nothing to joke about.

Obviously quality is a concern, and the buildings being discussed in this thread are at the highest end in terms of quality.

And buildings collapse all over the world, as I'm sure you know:

Hanoi: five-storey building collapses - News VietNamNet

Compared to the five storey building in Hanoi, the one collapsed in China has no quality issue as it's fully intact after the fall. Can't say the same about the one in Hanoi where it turned into rubble. As mentioned before the cause was geological spot that contributed to the collapse.

. . .
Amazing feat if it can be done in the proposed time. I think out of necessity, the Chinese have had to intensify their development in pre-fab construction. If this technology proves successful and stands the test of time and all modern safety standards, then this could have an enormous effect on how buildings are made in the future, not just in China, but all over the World. Really astonishing stuff from China.

. .
That is just mind boggling, I really don't like the design though, i hope they change it.

In my opinion the design of the building is quite interesting.

I feel it's a bit like as decorative plants preferred in Viet Nam, it called "Phát Lộc" meaning "Prosperity-luck" (In the literal sense: blossom buds)
