See that's just the point. Was shuntmaster sure Huangyan ever ruled by the Philippines? We have to know the facts before we open our mouths in this international forum otherwise we're just trolling. Peace.

C'mon, Spratly Islands has dozens of island occupied by numerous countries. I do not think the personnel stationed on those islands are all civilian. A few of this islands has permanent airfield built. And this has been done for decades already.
Threatening to shoot a drone is just ridiculous. If everybody got so trigger happy, the Spratly would be a chaotic battlefield long time ago.

Last time I looked Andaman and Nicobar Islands was pretty close to Myanmar. Has that changed much since the Brits left the neighborhood?

The locals are not ethnic Burmese and neither does Naypidaw lay any claims to it. While for all these years these islands have been under Philippines and suddenly China is flexing its newly found military muscle.

There's a big difference in the two.
