[Global News] According to Singapore's "Lianhe Zaobao" report, Chinese Ambassador to Canada LU Shaye on Thursday (17th) warned that if the Canadian authorities ban Huawei's provision of 5G network equipment in the local area, canada will bear all the consequences related.

According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Canada is studying the security factors of 5G networks, but has not announced the ban on the use of Huawei devices.

Lu Shaye said in a news release held in Ottawa, Canada, that he believes that Huawei's ban will have consequences, but does not specify the specific consequences. He called on the Canadian authorities to make a wise decision.

According to the report, Lu Shaye called on Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau to withdraw his international support on the China-Canada issue when he was interviewed by Canadian journalists. He also said that if Foreign Minister Fang Huilan wants to use the Davos World Economic Forum to raise the matter, this will not be a good idea.

According to Longteng.com, in 2018, US lawmakers warned Canada not to let Huawei participate in the 5G program. In a letter to Trudeau, US Senators Mark Warner and Mark Rubio publicly stated that Canada should abandon plans for China's technology and telecommunications giant Huawei to build a next-generation mobile network.

In response, the Canadian government did not formally respond to the letter, but it is unlikely to easily succumb to US pressure.

Canada and China are like that last two countries that should be getting in a diplomatic row, you've got so many people from China that are productive members of society and enjoy their lives here yet these governments can't get along.

The Chinese government and Chinese people and the Canadian people have no problems. The thing is that Canadian government is a servant of US hegemony. The Chinese government does not recognize the global hegemony of the United States,at least in East Asia. The servant status of Canadian governments gives the Chinese government and Canada government no choice.

We issued a travel warning for Chinese citizens not to go to Canada because our nuclear strike is coming and we don't want collateral damage.

It looks like if Canada makes a wrong move here they will get a nuclear holocaust.

Who is holding Meng Wanzhou, daughter of Huawei Higest CEO Ren Zhenfei, hostage?

There's an interesting answer to that question: the Canadian judicial system. In accordance with the principal of separation of powers it is independent from the executive or administrative branch of the Canadian government.

China trying to apply pressure on the Canadian government to consider its position on Huawei's 5G tender may have some effect. But placing pressure on the Canadian government over the Meng Wanzhou situation is completely pointless. The executive body is powerless to act. Under treaties with the US, Canadian border authorities were obliged to arrest Meng Wanzhou. If anybody should be targeted for 'all the consequences' it should be the US.

And she is not being held hostage, that infers she has been kidnapped. She has been arrested and charged under US federal law by Canadian authorities, and released on bail to her address in Toronto.

No matter what kind of game the Canadians play it's the same result. If a judge orders extraditions (actually the government has a veto, the Canadian just hides it), then the judge will be assassinated by the friends and family of the detained Canadians. Both Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor are powerful, upper class citizens. Politicians have their calculus and judges have their calculus. Not being assassinated is very high on a judge's list of priorities. They are not super human and actually a softer target than a politician for assassination.
