We are trying to de escalate things with our partners. I think Japanese people in general now want more development with China. Peaceful cooperation is best for China and Japan.

Japan would like to use China market for Japan product. China know it as well, so why china make tension in ECS with you.

you tried to softly handling with chinese guys on this forum, this is good tactic.

Peaceful cooperation requires 2 parties, but I only see one.

Can you translate for us? What are those cute kids saying? LOL

Pronunciation is pretty similar.

Their "Hoang sa" (Yellow sands) is pronounced as "Huang sha" in Mandarin.

And their "Quan dao" (group of islands) is pronounced as "Qun dao" in Mandarin.

That's true. But Mah Jiang I can make big money very quick ;)

I'm not very good at Weiqi or Majiang. LOL.

I enjoy playing those on smartphone apps though.

Who knows maybe the best way to de escalate things is to promote civilian presence.

The Filipinos did just the thing in Pagasa Island. They even have an elementary school there.

It dissuades military action.
I think so, Building something always much better than Destroying anyting, especially now China is busy in building anything what we can see.

YES, i say let's building SCS.

No, the life is lke a GO, we all playing it.

People & Nation all need enough patience before the achievement.
I used to play chess. deception is part of the game.

The relationship between Japan and China has seen a lot of improvement and sure it's not been without any hiccups. But CPC and GOJ have always been cooperative since early on. Both sides trying to work together despite some nationalistic sentiments in each other's populace. Both want to look strong yet at the same time want to strengthen ties ; so it's diplomatic dance.

But overall majority of Japanese do want strong relations with China, and I know for a fact that Chinese feel the same with Japan. And I've a lot, a lot of Chinese friends in my university. I believe they are more representative of Chinese than some of the ultranationalists here in PDF, who are usually outliers.

BTW, if you know anything about Japanese and Chinese character it is this: we like to find middle ground, compromise. And that's why I believe Chinese and Japanese will cooperate.

Chess: Tactics game, it would take 1~5years.
GO: Strategy game, it would take 5~20years.

Now Chinese r building artificial islands in SCS coz they have 10 years plan to build "Casino" in there, which island is a piece in this GO.

Sounds good. A new competitor for Macau!

. . .
Have you read "孫子兵法"?
I just know some quotes. many vietnamese military leaders read it.

Chess: Tactics game, it would take 1~5years.
GO: Strategy game, it would take 5~20years.

Building artificial islands in SCS is the GO coz China has a 10 years plan to build "Casino" in there, each island is a piece in this GO.
well, I admit you have money and resources. there is little we can do.

...and if you read a bit of history, then you know chinese are more "peaceful" toward japanese than vietnamese.
for instance, in ancient times japanese pirates regularly looted chinese coastal cities, and if they were captured, chinese had given them a teaching lesson (NEVER do it again, you pirate!) and released them into freedom. but if it comes to vietnam, chinese are usually merciless.

Without delving too much into history, we were not so "clean" in our relations with China. The Imjin Wars saw Japanese invasion of Korea, who were saved , literally, by the Ming Dynasty. The Ming expended much resources ; financial, military in aiding the Joseon Kingdom.

It is estimated that China had levied a force of some 200,000 to assist the Koreans, who were being decimated by Japanese. Korea, during that time, owed its independence to China.

For most of our history it was us Japanese who were attacking either Korea, China or both. So we are definitely not innocent .

Only after 2010 China start to build islands in SCS, before it they didn't. Chinese take 30 years to play a lonely GO game with ourselves since 1978, so i said young player need more patient to develop himself before joining the game.
