China v America: who is in charge? | The Economist

The only way that China could replace the USA as the economic leader of the world is if the USA becomes as fascist (fascism = national socialism) as China. That is, if the USA drifts to national socialism with one-party government/military controlling corporations to the extent that private investors can no longer invest in a market that is quasi free, therefore, not rigged for the benefit of party members. Right now, investors have the alternative of investing in western assets that are not totally controlled by governments. Investment in Chinese assets is always a gamble if you are not a CCP member. The catch is that internal political forces in the USA are pushing it steadfastly to national socialism. If they succeed, then China's lack of dependable rule of law may be moot. No one will have the protection of a rule of law. If it becomes a contest for world dominance among two or more fascist powers, probably the imminent possibility of nuclear Armageddon will be a weight on the world's economy. It won't matter in which currency your mortgage is denominated if the doomsday clock is at 11:59:55.

So in case you are an intellectually honest man, there are other aspects of fascism.

Some include extreme nationalism, glorification of the military, racial supremacy, xenophobia, social Darwinism, etc

Adolf Hitler didn't have a portrait of a Chinese man in his office, he has a portrait of Henry Ford.

cutting and running in the face of competition, is that the American way? Is that how you want your taxpayer money to be spent, on subsidizing uncompetitive companies based on nationalism?

Adolf is not the sine qua non definition of fascism. Since the death of Mao, the CCP has moved steadily to a system that is indistinguishable from the national socialism practiced by Mussolini and Hitler. As far as the racism aspect, all you have to look at is all of the Chinese policies that foster the movement of Han Chinese into not-Han areas, such as Tibet and Xinjiang. Military expansionism? See the South China Sea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and all of the border regions of China. Even social Darwinism is rampant in the demographic control and abortion practices of the CCP. Today's China is the most purely fascist state that exists.

Definition of fascism

(1) often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

Jimmy Carter: US 'Most Warlike Nation in History of the World'
Former president says peaceful China 'ahead of us in almost every way.'

The only US president to complete his term without war, military attack or occupation has called the United States “the most warlike nation in the history of the world.”

During his regular Sunday school lesson at Maranatha Baptist Church in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, Jimmy Carter revealed that he had recently spoken with President Donald Trump about China. Carter, 94, said Trump was worried about China’s growing economy and expressed concern that “China is getting ahead of us.”

Carter, who normalized diplomatic relations between Washington and Beijing in 1979, said he told Trump that much of China’s success was due to its peaceful foreign policy.

Carter then referred to the US as “the most warlike nation in the history of the world,” a result, he said, of the US forcing other countries to “adopt our American principles.”

“Since 1979, do you know how many times China has been at war with anybody?” Carter asked. “None, and we have stayed at war.” While it is true that China’s last major war—an invasion of Vietnam—occurred in 1979, its People’s Liberation Army pounded border regions of Vietnam with artillery and its navy battled its Vietnamese counterpart in the 1980s. Since then, however, China has been at peace with its neighbors and the world.

Carter then said the US has been at peace for only 16 of its 242 years as a nation. Counting wars, military attacks and military occupations, there have actually only been five years of peace in US history—1976, the last year of the Gerald Ford administration and 1977-80, the entirety of Carter’s presidency. Carter then referred to the US as “the most warlike nation in the history of the world,” a result, he said, of the US forcing other countries to “adopt our American principles.”

China’s peace dividend has allowed and enhanced its economic growth, Carter said. “How many miles of high-speed railroad do we have in this country?” he asked. China has around 18,000 miles (29,000 km) of high speed rail lines while the US has “wasted, I think, $3 trillion” on military spending. According to a November 2018 study by Brown University’s Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs, the US has spent $5.9 trillion waging war in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other nations since 2001.

“It’s more than you can imagine,” Carter said of US war spending. “China has not wasted a single penny on war, and that’s why they’re ahead of us. In almost every way.”

“And I think the difference is if you take $3 trillion and put it in American infrastructure you’d probably have $2 trillion leftover,” Carter told his congregation. “We’d have high-speed railroad. We’d have bridges that aren’t collapsing, we’d have roads that are maintained properly. Our education system would be as good as that of say South Korea or Hong Kong.”

The US has also invaded or bombed dozens of countries and supported nearly every single right wing dictatorship in the world since the end of World War II.

While there is a prevalent belief in the United States that the country almost always wages war for noble purposes and in defense of freedom, global public opinion and facts paint a very different picture. Most countries surveyed in a 2013 WIN/Gallup poll identified the United States as the greatest threat to world peace, and a 2017 Pew Research poll foundthat a record number of people in 30 surveyed nations viewed US power and influence as a “major threat.”

The US has also invaded or bombed dozens of countries and supported nearly every single right wing dictatorship in the world since the end of World War II. It has overthrown or attempted to overthrow dozens of foreign governments since 1949 and has actively sought to crush nearly every single people’s liberation movement over that same period. It has also meddled in scores of elections, in countries that are allies and adversaries alike.

Those regions have been part of the Chinese empire since the 17th century before the US was even a country.

Anyways, the US still has systemic domination because of the US dollar and because China has not sufficiently advanced technologically ahead of the US.
That is a dangerous statement. With this logic other countries can claim parts of others too.

This is why I believe a coalition of the willing will form to counter chinaman economically and militarily.

Chinaman have less morals than the Americans. If China reach same military power that the US has, it could act even worse than the US.

Chinaman can't act like Americans right now because the moment it does we will destroy chinaman economy.

Our goal should be to undermine chinaman economy so it will never reach its independence.

The present world boundaries are based on Yalta System. You need to win another world war to change it. Otherwise just shut up.

Although the United States slaughtered natives, sold black slaves, enslaved black people, and bombed civilians, women and children in the Middle East, but I know that the United States is a good country.
China maybe worse:omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:
Typical American. Although I am a bad person, others are worse:omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:

China is too kind to supply all medical goods to US. When China was in Covid-19 time, USA didn't offer any aid to China. And this Taskforce shit said Chinese have less morals than Americans. How ironic.

Hmm, socialism you say? Hitler's ideology was actually defined by hatred of Marxism. He only called it socialism in the sense that Nazism was a "social" ideology.

"...how the future of the German nation can be secured is the problem of how Marxism can be exterminated.[108]"
"Hitler advocated for "the destruction of Marxism in all its shapes and forms".[109]"

Hitler was a great fan of privatization. He extolled the virtues of private enterprise.

"Nazi ideology held entrepreneurship in high regard, and “private property was considered a precondition to developing the creativity of members of the German race in the best interest of the people.[53]"

"The Nazi leadership believed that “private property itself provided important incentives to achieve greater cost consciousness, efficiency gains, and technical progress.”[54]"

Adolf Hitler was inspired by the US. This is not a fringe opinion either.

"In 1935, the National Socialist Handbook on Law and Legislation, a basic guide for Nazis as they built their new society, would declare that the United States had achieved the “fundamental recognition” of the need for a race state."

China's demographic control is not social Darwinist. It is in fact the opposite of social Darwinist, because Han are affected the most.

"The policy also allowed exceptions for some other groups, including ethnic minorities. Thus, the term "one-child policy" has been called a "misnomer", because for nearly 30 of the 36 years that it existed (1979–2015), about half of all parents in China were allowed to have a second child.[5][6][7]"

US engages in social Darwinism by denial of healthcare, denial of social benefits and essentially having an every man for himself society (that I am personally doing quite well in, so personal reasons is not why I criticize US economic policy). In fact, the UK and US invented social Darwinism.

Please don't cut and run from this like you usually do. Let's see what you have to say to refute this. I've provided ample references from US sources so you can cross check any of my claims.
