It is the Gold medals that count in the Olympics. That is what countries are ranked by in the Medals Table.

So in fact, it should be this:

India gold medals : 0

Pakistan gold medals : 0

So it is the same.

Except of course, that Pakistan is not a self-declared contender to be a shining superpower.

Looking at the current development in the sports department India is growing rapidly..
For example, No one in the South Asia had even thought of competing in Rowing and swimming kind of events. Because we don't have infra both that kind of sports. But India did registered its participation and performed well in Rowing with Swarn Singh in individuals events.

Also in terms of medal count we have got 6 medals compared to 3 last time, yes no gold medal is included this time but our athletes performed well and we will hope to touch the double digit soon with this growth rate.

Also no doubt china has a very good sports infrastructure and culture to support sports.

A little mistake in your game and u can loose the gold medal, and will have to satisfy with silver or bronze.
See what happens in archery events, a little mistake in one knok-out round and you are out of the race.For example, Deepika Kumari from India who ranked 1st in world in womens individual archery but wasn't able to clear the round of 32.
So your participation matters with your good sportsmanship, yes medals are also one important aspects of the games...
And we accept china's superiority over our sports culture...

off coarse. We won 6 medals in London which is equal to total number of medals won by India in last 24 years. We won zero medal in 1984, 1988 and 1992. We won a medal each in 1996, 2000 and 2004. 3 medals in bejing. But still need lots of improvement.
