Agree that Pakistan still has higher living standards than BD but the gap will close to zero within the next 5 years.

Actually that lower standard of living in B'desh is the tour-de-force for the RMG sector with more than 4 million women/men employed there and getting a 8000 Taka salary per month, lower/higher...it is a catch actually, if the sector increases the salary structure and with it the cost arbitrage decreasing as Bangladesh will move from LDC level...many RMG manufacturers has to shift the industry to other LDC countries.

BD exports all over the world.

The whole of the Western world would have to collapse for BD economy to be affected right now.
Bd is also slowly raising exports to non-Western countries as well.

West don't collapse but they put sanctions on a country which don't follow their guidelines and in future BD will know the reality.

Good news but also shows how much Pakistan is dependant on China for it's very economic survival.

With proper plan and resources, it can be fixed within 5 years. We have all the resources we need, we just need to apply it correctly.

FATF is G7 tool with whom Pakistan does'nt have any major ties to begin with. We don;t have any tech transfer or other crucial sharing. Plus the multilateral agencies that have been pumping money in Pakistan areall Chinese like AIIB. Sri Lanka is also on FATF grey list, it can put more scrutiny but can't block funding of multilateral organizations.

Yes I have this point in mind, FATF comes into foray and can cause some damage if Pakistan has a bigger stake in US/EU countries w.r.t investment and commerce....

With China, GCC countries, Turkey and other countries including Malaysia as friendly countries, FATF is not that a big issue...not more than a damper, will just have some inhibiting effect some nuisance value.

Also as I said earlier, FATF is a political thing against Pakistan, just for the reason Pakistan getting too close for comfort, with China for US and some western countries...China being a Pariah state for US specially. US cannot do a Zilch now though...

To be fair Bangladesh depends on RMG a little too much. Bangladesh top 4 exports crochet clothing, textiles, woven fabric, accessories, clothing, etc.. make up for 91-92% of its exports. For it to make these products its imports$5 bil worth of cotton it can't produce itself. Incredibly around$6 bn is also trade deficit of the state. Its exports for few years now around 41 to 42 bn even after giving worst wages and exploiting millions of workers. Bangladesh is not making cars or Integrated circuits. One Pakistani Chinese JV company has started making laptops [Haier]

Bangladesh per capita is 1466 [projected this year], Pakistan's is 1641 even after its economy is 10 years in the freezer. Pakistan does'nt need to import cement or cotton. Even One TRump induced tariff on clothing can rock the boat of Bangladeshi economy.

One should look towards positive aspects.
The way you look at Pakistan according to news based on Indian media is somewhat wrong.
And the way we look at Bangladesh is wrong too. You may have many many problems yes, but your economy is Blooming.
We Pakistanis have moved forward.. I bet half the younger population didn't even know about Bangladesh being East Pakistan. But when we hear the animosity from Bangladesh after so many years that pains us.
