No use for China fighter in SCS(east sea) conflict bcz all of China air base in Hainan and in SCS(east sea) r in our ground-attack missile range.

And China also trying to settle the dispute with India, so they wont keep threatening each other.

China has a massive land area to protect, and doesn't enjoy the natural defenses that the US has. They also are facing the buildup of its neighbors to counter its own, so a strong and credible deterrent such as a large air force is only to be expected.

China imported U.S early 4x gens fighter standard, but American update to 5x gens now :
1-gen fighter ( jet engine revolution but subsonic): Mig-19, F-86 etc
2-gen fighter(supersonic revolution): Mig-21, F-4, F-5, Mig-25, F111 etc
3-gen fighter(energy-maneuverability design & beyond-visual-range combat): F-16, F-14, F-15,F/A-18, Su27, Su30, Typhoon, Rafale etc
4-gen fighter (stealth & supercruise): F-22, F-35 etc

But who's to say that the United States will not increase the number of aircraft in their arsenal , or begin refitting their air fleet with 5th generation fighters? They are so many leagues ahead of many world militaries.

That is scaling back a bloated force, absolutely. But future aircraft (20+ years ahead of today's production models) are funded by a very large classified black budget, and upgrades for even the F-22 are already planned and allocated for.

One thing China will most likely learn from watching the US saga is that throwing more money at something is easy, but pulling it back when it becomes wasteful isn't.

The self-imposed political handcuffs worn by the US military are not common world-wide. I think that the notion of preserving a perceived self-image during war, at the peril of the ground soldier, is a uniquely post-WWII American faulty tactic.

We got full weapon support from Soviet-China during VN war, ur ground soldier would suffer a huge casualty if attacking North VN. So, u chose to bombard us.

An Asian government source has disclosed to IHS Jane's estimates of China's future combat aircraft fleet size and composition that are larger - and more specific - than those offered in the annual China Military Power reports published by the US Department of Defense.

The latest Pentagon report issued on 5 June 2014 sounded an alarm about China air combat forces, saying the People's Liberation Army Air Force "is pursuing modernisation on a scale unprecedented in its history and is rapidly closing the gap with Western air forces across a broad spectrum of capabilities including aircraft, command and control, jammers, electronic warfare, and datalinks".

Next super power no doubt abt it. By that time there will be 6th generation planes around which it will be working with. Chinas fleet will be very advanced by that time and its military might will be touching over the shores with its economical might. .
