China to dominate the gobal electric vehicle (EV) market , over half the EVs made in 2026 will be coming from China

The only 'dominance' Tesla has over Chinese EV manufacturers is limited to UI design and software app development for their cars. Chinese have already gotten the hardware part tackled -- they remain the lowest cost and most reliable vendor as they are potentially one of the largest markets for EVs in any case. Where else is one going to go, India?

The designs for EVs in China are catching up more and more with Italian designer standards as I mentioned already. In just a decade - China has come a long way in both design and engineering of EVs.

In the US, not enough kids go into the STEM fields because of lack of interest in math, the corporate world in the US is overtaken with woke idiots specializing in only updating HR ranks with PC-compatible hiring, these talentless top level manager idiots these days (some with not even a Bachelors) are completely incapable of countering these Chinese companies with sound, practical business strategies (for making EVs or anything else).

Top level Chinese companies are populated with a meritocratic hierarchy far more sophisticated and business-savvy than those in top level business management in the US. The Bezos' and the Musks of this corporate world in the US are exceptions and not the norm.

I only see some hope in some agile West Coast companies in the US, who realize where this Tsunami is going and how to ride it to prosperity. Rest of the US businesses in the Midwest and other "Idaho's" are going to devolve into a sad "Australia" scenario if they don't decide to change with the times and get rid of this antagonistic China-hating attitude. Ignorance is your own special cyanide pill - Darwin was right about the survival of the fittest.

Trying to counter China by arresting their top people at large conglomerates or blocking their university students is only delaying the inevitable. Wrong approach in my opinion.

Just a parting tidbit, China has more University students studying STEM subjects than all of the US and EU combined. And these are not 4-month course graduate BIMARU IT coolies from India either.

That report is dead wrong. They have US net worth at $90T. Per the US Federal Reserve US net worth was $142T at the end of June ‘21. Chinese net worth was $75T at the end of 2020 per Credit Suisse. It’s impossible for China to have passed the US in wealth.

The US has produced over 250 unicorn companies in 2021 alone. Capital flows into those companies because that’s where the majority of innovation and advancement is occurring in the world. China has produced less than 40.

The US is where the vast majority of innovation and advancement takes place.

OK leave these thoughts where they are and let's see what happens.

Of note, unicorn companies can provide idea incubator environments and even test production runs. Fine n' dandy.

But when you actually need to produce things (i.e. value add from SCRATCH), and turn a profit - you have to head back to China. US companies don't produce things much anymore. Integration and assembly maybe of imported parts (mostly from China), but value add from SCRATCH, no.

The US specializes in innovation and China is the producer, gaining margins. Guess where the money is....

And China eventually won't take a back seat to innovation either. They've got the majority of STEM graduates, the US doesn't.

I'd say - go back and take a look at that seminal book, "The world is flat". Lot's of foretelling in that book and it mostly became true.

Subsidies and incentives were key tools in jump-starting the new energy vehicle (NEV) market, and as the public becomes more accepting of such vehicles, forces from the market appear to have started to become a major factor driving growth in the sector.

China's state-owned Economic Daily said in an article published today that the industry is at an inflection point driven by market-based forces, with both production and sales of NEVs hitting record highs in October, both up 1.3 times year-on-year.


The story highlighted the achievements of the new carmakers:

NIO delivered a total of 24,439 vehicles in the third quarter of 2021, up 100.2 percent year-on-year, said William Li, chairman of NIO, during its third-quarter earnings call on November 10.
The company, which added a record number of new orders in October and whose deliveries are now largely affected by supply fluctuations, expects total deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2021 to reach 23,500 to 25,500 units.
XPeng overcame the chip supply shortage challenges faced by the entire industry to deliver more than 10,000 units for the second consecutive month, with total deliveries in October jumping 233 percent year-on-year. By the end of October this year, XPeng's cumulative deliveries have exceeded 100,000 units.
The report cited Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), as saying that in addition to continued improvement in product competitiveness and affordability, consumer acceptance is crucial to the growth of NEV sales.

Not only users in big cities, but also those in small and medium-sized cities and even rural areas have recognized NEVs, Chen said.

"So far this year, whether at auto shows or at conferences, very few car companies have released traditional models; they've basically been releasing NEV products," he said.

The report quoted the CAAM deputy chief engineer as saying that this year will be a historical inflection point when the driving force for the development of China's NEV industry changes from policy to market forces.

China's NEV sales reached a record 383,000 units in October, up 134.9 percent from a year earlier and up 7.2 percent from September, data released Wednesday by the CAAM showed.

By comparison, sales of all vehicles in China fell 9.4 percent in October to 2.333 million units, up 12.8 percent from September.

Tesla is the packeging and sales department of Chinese batteries and key components, and it only takes 5% of the total China sales, the rest are Chinese. BYD monthly EV sales are over 80,000, with all key components made by themselves. Tesla is a nobody, can't match BYD. You clown are so shameless to boast about your master's Tesla again, LMAO...
