As we know the Global Oil transit, transport cost is estimated to be around 8 dollar /barrel in the existing route

lets say china by building this pipeline saves 50 % I would doubt that

That brings it to 4 dollars if a one dollar/ barrel is spent on pipeline maintenance so the nett saving comes around 3 dollar per barrel, china would looking at-least 30% percent saving in costs for having invested in huge infrastructure .....

So what remains is .6 dollar /barrel, really what will Pakistan get other than may be employment opportunities and of course some free infrastructure this would be the case for all the chinese trade that happens through pakistan other than some employment it does not mean anything more

The cost to transport crude oil or petroleum products by pipeline is a fraction of the cost of other modes of transportation. The cost to ship crude oil by rail is generally $10 to $15 per barrel versus under $5 per barrel by pipeline.

You are right. If Pakistan does not get permanent benefits from CPEC, like Transit Fees, Custom Fees, etc, then what is the financial benefit of CPEC... Of course, the Chinese may bring their own labours to reduce their Unemployment. Atleast the Pakistani Govt. should make it compulsory that Every Project should give 50% jobs to Pakistanis....

So, China is scaring all other competitors off from the ME oil business. It's quite expected. As for Iran, are they gonna sell out India for China? Not many surprises out there too for I heard that most of the top businessmen in India are Persians from pre-Islamic Iran..

Sir, the figure you are quoting will make the project a financial nightmare to China and hope for pakistan sake it does not turn out to be true if they get 5 dollar a barrel a crude at the offloading point in mainland china, the cost of getting crude to Gawadar is itself a cost if china is willing to upward of 11 dollars per barrel transport cost to get crude Good luck to them

By the way our Indian crude transport cost are around 3.4 to 3.8 dollar depending on the Oil source
