It is the Type 085, since the Type 089 is the nuclear one.
Do you know why you find it is difficult to build aircraft carrier? Because of your weak basic military industry.
china ship building industry are behind of india? and before the sail of Varyag, we didn't do something? Maybe this time you forget chinese reverse engineering that you always mock china by it!! chinese don't stop the preparation for carrier, and the article also said that it will completed in 2020, almost 10 years, It is not a long time, but base on the achivement before, We can complete all the prepartion for the carrier. I have read many report the achivement of military industry, don't see them as a individual, try to combine it!!! I know in your indian mind, No western support, No country can do it. Let is your mind, don't apply to China!!!
Wll somebody put light on how China was not able to convince the Russia for selling arresters for her AC.. How china can overcome this deficite? Are these Su33 have folding wings? Are the current engines sufficient for the AC? DO PLAN gonna use catapultor sky jump technique for launching aircraft?
Proper response from anybody would be appreciable.
Thanks in advance..

ski-jump obviously for the vayag, and probably ski-jump for the next carrier before moving to steam(more likely)/electromagnetic for the 3rd carrier
The steam catapult failed, but the EMALS succeeded, so the first carrier from the Jiangnan shipyard gonna use the ski-jump system, but the next one gonna be EMALS.
Failed? Failed to meet PLAN requirements?
China's steam catapult can only hurl a 30 tons aircraft, but it is not enough for the naval AEW aircraft.
But with the EMALS, it can hurl up to 50 tons or more, so the naval AEW aircraft is not a problem anymore.
the steam catapult was harder to make ? wow.
something doesn't sound right here.
The steam catapult and EMALS were a parallel development for China, once the EMALS was close to the point of success, they don't really care about the steam catapult anymore, so all the attention is on the EMALS.
Meanwhile the steam catapult and the EMALS aren't exactly the same technology.
