I look forward to seeing vehicles of this public function and MANY MORE public functions be turned into EV as long as the charging stations allow. I think the overwhelming majority, if not all, of buses serving the visitors within the tourism sites in China are using EV, just correct me if I'm wrong. This should be running in every streets of China. It is indeed a great development.
Strategically the EV, as the 21st century new technology, will be the right full-fledge entry into the competition for China, with much higher competitiveness reflecting the state of nation (cf. the already matured conventional ones)... aside from petroleum is a finite resource and China depends on huge import to meet its consumption, plus several other compelling reasons. In view of the many nuclear power plants China is constructing and/or will be building, the availability of electricity will be abundant or at least not becoming any issue.
Yes, it's one of the many great developments in positioning China rightly to embrace the future!
