China thwarted action against JuD: Clinton

Yeah right, look at your own statistics, 34%.

Must be joking.

And before that?

46% for three consecutive years and 56% in 2005 and must have been even higher before that althouh this particular graph doesn't show it.

Dear me, what is happening in this thread?

Anyway, let's see if we can clarify some matters.

By hosting the Tibetan government "in exile" (i.e. they still think they are the rightful government) for more than half a century, the statement has already been made.

Essentially they are refugees living in exile. If they had been thrown out of India, they would have been given asylum in Europe or the USA.

What they call themselves is a non-issue.

If Tibetan refugees have been involved in supporting terrorist activities inside China in the last 20 years (say), then China is welcome to present the evidence. China has not made any such claim.

. .
The number is 34% and the trend is negative.

Maybe I am seeing what I want to see, but the numbers are there.

Dear CD,

For something to go down, it must first be at a higher position.

The graph only shows that China's popularity was really high at least upto 2009.

In fact, if nothing, I can at least say that even today nearly half of Indians don't view China as a threat based on this graph.

.
The point here is I am applying logic invented by you. No matter what horrible crimes has Dalai Lama commited, you keep calling him "freedom fighter", don't you?

Xinjiang separatist groups are already designated as terrorists by UNSC, you still call them "freedom fighter", don't you?

CD has stated, you don't care about our concern, why should we care about yours?

Chna just tried to block the designation, ulike India, hosting a terrorists group on its soil.

Nobody here called Dalai Lama and Xinjiang separatist as freedom fighters.

Dalai Lama in India is only known as a big leader exiled from his own nation.

India is not supporting any Tibetian movement, for ur knowledge India accept Tibet as a part of China.

Ur logics r just rotten,if India wanted any Tibetian movement in the 1st case it would have even not accepted Tibet as part of China

This is what some might call a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Unfortunately it seems our destiny is that we will be rivals. The wrong place at the wrong time, and all that.

Two such powers growing in the same geographic location, it is just a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Rivals is OK. Enemies is not.

BTW, everything will be taken care of I'm confident.

I'm confident that Indian and Chinese leadership is wise enough to know that the general good of the two nations lays in amity and not enmity.

.
Chinese-Monkey(dragon) should apologise to the indian members here , did nt our leader Wenjiabao told you not to antagonise your beloved indian?
On a serious note Big tree CN was right only naive or idiot will think china and india can be friends.

I don't share your optimism.

Although I do hope the rivalry stays economic and never becomes military, I don't like any innocent people dying regardless of what country they are in.

We don't have to be friends, but we most certainly don't have to be enemies.

India and China will be rivals till Indian and Pakistan remain enemies. End of story

Exactly right which is why it is destiny.

I don't see any possible way in which the China-Pakistan alliance will be broken, India certainly doesn't seem eager to become a friend to either one.

Onwards.

Of all the Indian borders, India-China border is the only one which is normally quiet and peaceful.
