there are some points about mr wolf comments
1 over protecting the national products can be harmful to the US market without competition the US industry can control the prices and quality of the goods and services in the US market a good example would be drug prices in the US
2 if trump did make some taxes on Chinese products what about India Vietnam mexico ?to do what is in his mind he would take money from all countries around the world which will make the rest of the world do the same and us industry lose alot in foreign markets
3 i dont think that US industry can fill the need of the domestic market right away
on the other hand a long term plan can be the way but it would take some time and a lot of work.
he could cut social benefits and kick out all illegal immigrants and he talked about taking money from japan and GCC and making europe spend more in nato i dont know if he could do that .then invest on infrastructure and more loans to small businesses and lower taxes but of course this wont be easy as he will need the country in unity and that is not happening he has made a lot of enemies already
