China tells navy to prepare for combat

in 1979 we won the war in every aspect,I can go through all the details with you again if you keep forgetting things, and this time we are calling for the navy to be ready for war,and the only two navy battles bw China and Vietnam were the ones in 1974 and 1988.you both lost miserably,do you have any other record of naval battle besides those two?

---------- Post added at 11:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:28 AM ----------

really,if so,why didnt you fight back with you "real" navy after that?cowardice?

---------- Post added at 11:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:29 AM ----------

I tell why, because Vietnam knew that if they sent more ships and sailors to join the battle,it will only mean more ship wrecks and fish food at the bottom of the sea. your sailors are still there at the bottom of the sea.
Handicaped South Viet Nam Navy sunk two of your warships and sent scores of savages down the bottom of Paracel Island to feed the sharks in 1974 heh.

And how come you coward never went on to seize other occupied Spartley island from us? I'll tell you why, if you did, we would have blown you to pieces already. You guys are nothing but a bunch of coward that attacked two transport ships with unarmed Viet soldiers so spare me the chest pounding; it makes you guys look like a bunch of pathetic fools who don't even know what the word "shame" is all about

In 1979, you lost in every aspect, militarily, we butchered 12,000 of you, your comrades even posted the grave counts of those 12,000 savages who died in 1979 in militaryphotos. Politically, you lost, you failed miserably to even force Viet Nam from Cambodia, we ended up destroying your Khmer Rouge ally and stay there for good and install a pro-Viet Nam puppet government until this day.
Militarily and politically, we owned you for good in this war and we did this solely by ourselves that the USSR was not even involved. LOL

Militarily ,you lost miserably recently to the US. Japan, USSR, and Viet Nam. The only "victory" that you got lately was scoring against some transport ship with unarmed soldiers that you pound your chest all day.

haha,I dont know that part,Vietnamese are handicapped.in 1974 disadvantagous Chinese navy totally beat Vietnam and kicked them out of Paracel islands.and in 1988 there was a slaughter.we do it step by step, first Paracel, then some part of Spratly, and eventually the whole Spratly, but every time when Chinese navy acted,Vietnmese sailor either ran or died.

haha, nonsense, look at the real acounts of the war in 1979.from internation third party account, neither from China nor Vietnam

Sino-Vietnamese War
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chinese invaded Northern Vietnam and captured some of the northernmost cities in Vietnam. On March 6 China declared that the gate to Hanoi was open and that their punitive mission had been achieved and retreated back to China. Both China and Vietnam claimed victory in the last of the Indochina Wars of the twentieth century; as Vietnamese troops remained in Cambodia until 1989 it can be said that the PRC failed to achieve the goal of dissuading Vietnam from involvement in Cambodia. China achieved its strategic objective of reducing the offensive capability of Vietnam along the Sino-Vietnam border by implementing a scorched earth policy. China also achieved another strategic objective of demonstrating to its Cold War foe, the Soviet Union, that they were unable to protect their Vietnamese ally. As many as 1.5 million Chinese troops were stationed along China's borders with the USSR at the time and were prepared for a full-scale war.

Bruce Elleman "one of the primary diplomatic goals behind China's attack was to expose Soviet assurances of military support to Vietnam as a fraud. Seen in this light, Beijing's policy was actually a diplomatic success, since Moscow did not actively intervene, thus showing the practical limitations of the Soviet-Vietnamese military pact.... China achieved a strategic victory by minimizing the future possibility of a two-front war against the USSR and Vietnam."

Aftermath

To reduce Vietnam's military capability against China, the Chinese implemented a "scorched-earth policy" while returning to China, causing extensive damage to the Vietnamese countryside and infrastructure.[31] Although Vietnam continued to occupy Cambodia, China successfully mobilized international opposition to the occupation, rallying such leaders as Cambodia's deposed king Norodom Sihanouk, Cambodian anticommunist leader Son Sann, and high-ranking members of the Khmer Rouge to deny the pro-Vietnam regime in Cambodia diplomatic recognition beyond the Soviet bloc. China improved relations with ASEAN by promising protection to Thailand and Singapore against "Vietnamese aggression". In contrast, Vietnam's decreasing prestige in the region led it to be more dependent on the Soviet Union, to which it leased a naval base at Cam Ranh Bay.[32]

Border skirmishes continued throughout the 1980s, including a significant skirmish in April 1984.

Armed conflict only ended in 1989 after the Vietnamese agreed to fully withdraw from Cambodia.

This conflict also saw the first use of the Type 81 assault rifle by the Chinese and a naval battle over the Spratly Islands in 1988. In 1999 after many years of negotiations, China and Vietnam signed a border pact, though the line of demarcation remained secret.[33] There was a very slight adjustment of the land border, resulting in land being given up to China, which caused the widespread complaints within Vietnam.

Chinese casualties

To this day, both sides of the conflict describe themselves as the
victor. The number of casualties is disputed, with some Western sources
putting PLA casualties at more than 20,000 throughout the war. Chinese democracy activist Wei Jingsheng told
western media in 1980 the Chinese troops had suffered 9,000 deaths and more than 10,000 wounded during the war,[25] but a recent leak showed that the PLA had 6,954 killed and 14,800 wounded,[5] and 238 Prisoners of War[26] in the course of the war.

Vietnamese casualties

There are no independently verifiable details of Vietnamese
casualties; like their counterparts in the Chinese government, the
Vietnamese government has never announced any information on its actual
military casualties.
The Nhan Dan newspaper[27]
the Central Organ of the Communist Party of Vietnam claimed that
Vietnam suffered more than 10,000 civilian deaths during the Chinese
invasion[27] and earlier on May 17, 1979, reported statistics on heavy losses of industry and agriculture properties.[27]

Vietnamese armed personnel:

Regular forces (from Chinese sources): 100,100 killed in total, Wounded: more than 10,000. 2210 Prisoners of War.[5][28] Province Militia and divisions of the Public Security Army: unknown, the causality estimated: 70,000[29]

On March 6, China declared that the gate to Hanoi was open and that their punitive mission had been achieved. On the way back to the Chinese border, the PLA destroyed all local infrastructure and housing and looted all useful equipment and resources (including livestock), completely paralyzing the economy of northern Vietnam.[5] The PLA crossed the border back into China on March 16. While China claimed to have crushed the Vietnamese resistance, Vietnam claimed that China had mostly only fought against border militias. This allowed both sides to claim military victory, as both sides claimed to have taught their opponent a lesson.[24]

1. we didn't need Russia troop even when fighting against USA, so why must we need Russia troop when fighting with inexperience and poor equipted PLA troop ??

2. we withdraw from Cambodia bcz we successfully captured all Khmer rouge leaders and install pro-VN govt there, so why must we continue to stay in Cambodia when we accomplished all Goals ??

3.Our infrastrures were built by China help , it will count to your loan when you destroyed it , so you lost your own money when detroyed our infrastruture, that's it

in ww2,China was the winner and Japan surrendered to China, that's why we are a permanent memember of the UN Security Concil in case you dont know.in 1950s Korean war, that was a stalemate,we successfully pushed US away from China border to the south Korea.no country in this world thinks that was a Chinese loss except for you Vietnamese.in 1962,that was a clear victory of China over India,in the 1970s with USSR,that was a skirmish, not a war and now we got the land by the treaty signed a couple of years ago.we achieved our final goal.in 1974,we destroyed South Vietnanmese navy and got the Paracels,it was a clear victory.in 1979,we achieved every goal in the end and got your land.all other facts and figures also show that China the winner,we destroyed everything in north Vietnam and you couldnt touch even a grass in our side.in 1988 ,that was a Chinese slaughter of Vietnamese navy.

In Korean war, China had Soviet protection . In Soviet-Sino conflict, China had US nuclear protection , from 1979-1988 China had US -NATO support

--> You only can brag when having protection  we haven't got any protection from 1990 till now, but still No one can defeat us

In WW2 Japan surrendered only because USA dropped Atomic bombs on Japan , not because of any Chinese Bravado ... again taking false credits !!!

Lol, the Gulf of Tonkin/Beibu was in serious dispute prior to that treaty. No modern boundary/treaty was ever set to settle the area until Viet Nam and China signed that treaty in 1999 which we get 53.23% of the Gulf area, netting 8000 sq km over the Chinese, lol
