China tells military to be ready amid fears of US strikes on North Korea

April 12 (UPI) -- China has ordered its military to be on nationwide alert, in addition to areas near the North Korea border, as tensions escalate on the peninsula.

The Information Center for Human Rights and Democracy, a nongovernmental organization in Hong Kong, said Beijing has ordered troops at all five military "regions" to maintain preparedness because of the situation in North Korea, according to Oriental Daily News in Hong Kong.

According to the NGO, China's armored and mechanized infantry brigades in the provinces of Shandong, Zhejiang and Yunnan received the state mandate.

About 25,000 troops of the Chinese military's 47th group army of the Ninth Armored Brigade have been instructed to be ready to move long distances, close to the North Korea border, the Hong Kong-based organization said.

Other troops may have been mobilized.

According to Taiwan's China Post, the Chinese government may have deployed about 150,000 troops along the North Korea border on Sunday, as U.S. and South Korea militaries conducted joint exercises in and around the peninsula.

The country keeps missiles, including 12 Dongfeng-03 ballistic missiles and 24 Dongfeng-21 "Carrier-killer" missiles at the 51st rocket army station in Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

China has become increasingly frustrated with North Korea's missile threats.

Following news of the U.S. deployment of the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson to the peninsula, state tabloid Global Times issued an editorial on Wednesday, saying more Chinese citizens want China to place heavier sanctions on North Korea.

The Global Times English edition also issued an editorial saying China would "send out troops for sure" if military conflict is sparked on the peninsula.

Well, the general public opion regarding NK is not very friendly in China to say the least, and the CCP have done nothing to improve the NK imagine in China. The right-wing Chinese simply dont like koreans very much for whatever reasons, and the left wing Chinese believe kim's little dynastry give communism a horrible name.

I think China would rather watch if the US is aiming at only removing fatie kim but NOT take over north korea, if Trump want to rescue his presidency and repair his imagine, hitting NK will turn out to be one of his cheaper options.

Most probably China goes into North Korea and takeover or destroy all nuclear weapons and its production facilities before leaving. Hence pretty much permanently removing a nuclear Korean peninsula which we all wanted in the first place.

Probably the best option. U.S. uses its air and sea power to target North Korea's facilities without the need for invasion, and you can bet if there was an invasion, we be talking about 500,000 American troops involved but nothing like that has called up. Just a carrier strike group. On the other hand, China with its land forces close to North Korea is large enough for what they could accomplished which are going after nuclear facilities and weapons. And they don't want American forces in North Korea close to Chinese border.

Won't be suprised if Russia will Veto any attempt to isolate North Korea

Similarly I would not be suprised if some secret missions goes after Iran nuclear plant using North Korea as a diversion like it was done against Syria Chemical False flag

It's because they don't want anyone else to be the part of this bullying business. If they want to extract a certain resources from a certain countries they can do it without a resistance, and that's the only reason countries that rely heavily on US in terms of safety and security, such as South Korea, Japan and other Nato Nations they have to pay a ridiculous amount out of their budget to the United states just to be their savior. And in return US provides them with latest weapons, machinery, technology and assurance of not to be attacked by any Nation on this planet.

Why do you think that Mexico that has a GDP of over a 2.2 Trillion USD and it only spends roughly around 11.7 Billion USD on its defenses. Although Military training is mandatory in the Country yet the total strength of the Mexican Military is 280,000, It has an extremely weak and corrupt internal security forces. You can judge their capability by assuming that they can't even get rid of the Drug Cartels permanently who are destroying their youth for decades.
