I remember some one said chinese didnt cross and indians are fuming....and usual chinese cheerleaders joined the party... Atleast now they have an egg on their faces that the news is authentic and chinese are the aggressors...

This is provocation and nothing is going to happen, Chinese will leave and this type of event is not new earlier also they did the same and left after some time.

Such incidents are common some are reported some not, this one is just little more stretched nothing more, you are right. Plus in those areas army is always in alert mode. You can't really make that assumption. It could be a strategy. During 1962, Chairman Mao was insisting that India and China were best of friends whilst his Premier warned India to toe the line. Nehru took Mao's word for it and the result is history.

or maybe the PLA is using the CCP to furthur its own strategies much like how Chinese media is used by PLA/CCP(whoever is in control) to furthur its own strategy. So maybe all strategies flow from PLA only and CCP is just the public front to hide the military occupation of Chinese by PLA.

CCP and PLA is jointly a force in China. Only time will tell what the situation is. The tents have to be removed by winter. This is nothing short of a protest by China. India needs to address Chinese concerns as soon as possible. War will be mutually destructive for Indian and Chinese economies but more so for India than for China. No need to engage in a war with China if the issue can be addressed at diplomatic level

any chance that China does not leave and convert these tents into permanent positions? will or can India accept that China does occupy this area permanently?

In the unlikely event that China remains permanently (I assume that in that case, in few years they would then fortify this with bunkers and regular supply lines) Can this base be then used by PLA to take control of Siachen from India in future?

I think J & K or the vast majority of it belongs to the Kashmiris and Pakistan
