You are talking about Kashmir? Once the Gwadar port becomes operational the Pakistanis will be unofficially handing over their entire country to China. One thing that has always affected Pakistani policy is knee-jerk reactions. They make short-term plans ignoring long term consequences.

And did you know that there are 11,00 troops from the PLA Engineer regiments and Chinese civilian contractors working on the Kashgar - Gwadar highway, stationed permanently in Pak Occupied Kashmir in Gilgit/Baltistan? They have set up permanent accommodation and infrastructure for them out there. Looks like this region will soon become KAR (Kashmir Autonomous Region) like TAR (Tibetan Autonomous Region) sooner than later. Pakistan's demography is heading for a massive change and that is bad news for the Kashmiris of G/B!

I know that, what amazes me is why are Indian policy makers so scared of China? Sending 11,000 troops inside Pakistan is not a joke. The Pakistanis have sold out their country to Chinese and Americans, their actions don't surprise me. Indian policy paralysis is what baffles me.

That's why the defence budget of only 2% is irritating. India has some genuine and very serious security concerns. India is under compulsion to spend minimum 3 percent of its GDP on defence. The spending should be 60 billion dollars and the money needs to be spent, not returned every year like it happens.
