The Himachal Police on Saturday seized nearly Rs 40 lakh worth foreign and Indian currency from four Tibetan monks travelling in a Fortuner from Delhi to McLeodganj. Police said their vehicle was intercepted at Mehatpur in Una district, bordering Punjab, during a routine check at a naka in the afternoon. The vehicle has a Delhi registration number and police said the four men began their journey from Majnu Ka Tilla in New Delhi.

Well, there are threads where people love to discuss about Toilets, poverty, separatist movements in India. But if we discuss these issues on a thread meant to be discussed something else then it really fails me.
We do welcome people to people contact between nations. We don't have blasphemy laws and other laws that bar people from contacting other cultures.
We still consider ourselves a developing nation and thats why we still like to focus on business in our bilateral relations rather than discomforting political issues be it China or Pakistan or any other nation.
It will take a different perspective to understand Indians who consider "donating" as a spiritual act. Even poorest of the poor will make a provision from his little earning to donate. I assume that its this philosophy that makes the Indian government make a provision for giving credit to needy countries. This line of credit is provided interalia to Nepal, Bangladesh and Mongolia. I fail to understand why China considers this as a strategic threat? Mongolia is too small to be a threat of any kind to China. Mongolia is not even a buffer state between India and China.

I'm not talking to you about social problems in India. I just think India should focus on the economy. But this is my point of view. You have the right to refute it.

We have no habit of interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign states. This is our national policy.

Now China also started offering loans to Mongolia So, India has the right to help anyone, we oppose India to help Mongolia??????

I feel all our neighbours should use the India bogey to get nice deals from China without compromising their soverignity. That will be the smart thing to do.
But dont go overboard and throw competition out of the window as Pakistan has done.
