India still cannot export any nuclear technology. It requires additional waivers. We are developing Thorium based reactors instead of Uranium, and we hold one of the largest Thorium reserves. In the future, there can still be export control regime interventions on them. Besides it gives us full legitimacy as a Nuclear weapons power, it has more to do with posturing, a status equivalent to the P5 and China. Hence India needs full membership.
