I check the archive, there is no such article in Washington post to match the story. that could very well had been a chinese UAV that failed and crash...

The Chinese UAV base is located in Southwest China, whereas this happened in Northeast China.

The location doesn't match. :coffee:

I'm not finding any credible sources so far, we have to wait and see until news can be confirmed. Also someone mentioned it could have been a Chinese UAV which crashed, I don't think any Chinese UAV looks like the object in the picture.

Yeah, we will examine the wrecks, but it doesn't mean we have to copy it since we already possess the comparable technology. :coffee:

Question. If the Global Hawks was actually "shot down" wouldn't it have been more destroyed? This one looks as if it's still in relative good shape and form.

Maybe the anti-drone missile isn't very powerful, but more maneuvreble to shoot down the lighter flying objects.

BTW, they could be purposely left the wreckage.

but then how can we tell if they are honest about the location?
their claim of an article in WP doesn't exist too...

If Really US GLOBAL HAWK is Shot Down.Hurray:yahoo:

Doubt it for the following reasons,

1. The pictures are obvious fakes. Possibly done by an amateur photo-shopper.
2. No real source to back the story up.

.
i dont think so.2nd pic seems to be fake.

.
.
i dont find it from any major chinese military forums (public or exclusive private)``so i think its fake did by some fanboys

.
I am laughing so hard right now. How could you look at this picture or read that story and think this is real? The smoke in the picture looks like it was created on Windows 95  The US went to China to ask for the plane back? It was hit by a missile but is still in one piece? It somehow perfectly rested in the grass? Where is the front of the plane?  Oh the things naive people will believe.

.
Had nothing to say, pics looks so fake, fire and smoke looks fake, plane size is wrong.

The plane burns but its paint is still in perfect condition. Mean while not a scatch on the ground.

. . .
don't jump the gun boys, we're waiting for the Panda to make an official statement.
