China sees births fall despite push for second child

We need ethnic Chinese population. Population is not a number game. China will never accept massive immigrations.

I asked some of my students if they can accept living in a neighborhood where people come from different cultural and racial backgroups, all of them say NO. Many seem to be horrified just to think of that situation.

Funny thing is when I asked them if it is ok for foreigners to immigrate to China, some said yes and some said no, it's quite even but when being asked if they like to live in a multi racial and cultural neighborhood themselves, everyone's answer is a clear "NO".

Basically the NIMBY syndrome. Foreigners are allowed, but just not in my backyard.

Well, like in Ideocracy, a Hollywood movie that I watched sometime ago. Smart people tend to have no children, while stupid people give birth like a rat.

Being poor, you'll have a very hard time finding a wife in China. Declining population overall is not a bad thing. The hard part is to keep the population composition the same, not of rich & poor however.

China should open doors for African, Arab and Syrian migrants, as they always preach Europe to do so.

There are at 50 million ethnic Chinese diaspora that China can tap into. No need to import from elsewhere.

Than better make babies. In fact even now, the Han population in the new born babies has dropped below 90%.
