China: SCS ADIZ is an Option

.
Like the Russian subs in Swedish water that were never Russian?

U-137 certainly found out how hard Sweden can be.

Defense industry should be fully open to private firms in China where they can innovate things SOE's can't do.

This is the only point I disagree with. Private Chinese companies cannot be trusted with sensitive defense tech. Private companies tend to be non patriotic and only care about the bottom line. If they need to sell the latest tech to an enemy country in order to make huge profits, they will do it.

. . .
Anyone can set up an ADIZ and the presence of such a zone does not mean that the country have
any rights whatsoever over the zone.
Military aircraft are not required to do anything special.
Civilian aircraft are requested to announce their presence, but are not obliged to do so.
The only thing an ADIZ brings is that Civilian aircraft that does announce their presence
may be left uninvestigated.
If an aircraft ignores the ADIZ, and a fighter is sent out to investigate, the fighter does not have any rights
to affect the other flight.

So big deal.... :victory::victory::victory:.

ADIZ is really not a big deal, which makes me wonder why there is a slew of publication warning against the possibility of China to implement its ADIZ, nor the fervor response from the US and Japan criticize China's establishment of ADIZ in the past.

No need to go into German fairy tales
when You have a Soviet submarine stranded on a rock within our territorial waters.

The German fairy tale said that it was stranded, but it was due to being entangled in some fishing nets. And out of the many, many, many Russian subs, you managed to just find one that is not even convincing. On the other hand, there are ample of proofs that even your defense minister had to admit that practically all Soviet/ Russian subs were from your dear friends the NATO.

BTW, have you guys found out who murdered Olof Palme?

As I see in the behavior of many Swedes, one understands how the term Stockholm Syndrome came about. :enjoy:

U-137 was stranded because the crew was drunk, running at full speed into an reef, so it ended up on top.
No fishing nets would keep a submarine.

One of the submarines detected is suspected to be west german, that is not "practically all".
I have never heard such a statement from any Swedish Defense minister.
I would expect it from a Russian Minister. Are you sure you didnt mix them up?

Plenty of circumstantial evidence like, why is a Russian "mothership" suddenly changing course
and steaming at full speed towards Swedish Territoria waters, when the submarine hunt begins?

If Swedes were suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome we would not be moving towards NATO membership as a result of Russian unprofessional behaviour and illegal occupation of Crimea. Clearly You have no clue what the Stockholm Syndrome is.

A suspect was caught and identified by the wife of Mr Palme soon after the murder.
He had to be released due to a technicality.
Was a drunk and drug user, and the motive was revenge on the society,
on behalf of a friend, who was locked up for planting home made bombs.
He admitted that he was stoned at the time and had no recollection of events.

Your anamnesis of Stockholm syndrome was perfect! :enjoy:

In the end, it is China's waters; like any other country, China reserves the rights to declare an ADIZ, as officially stated.

A US map of South China Sea in 1947

In the end the verdict was that there are no historical evidence indicating that these islands belong to China.
The US map has very little value unless You can find out why they have marked this as Chinese.
It may be that it is Chinese, or it may be thst the creator was misinformed, or that it is simplified.
If 75 % of the islands are Chinese, it might still be marked "China".

.
In the end:

Island are being developed.

New flight routes are being added.

PH and VN are being chased away from China's waters.

ADIZ is being cooked and will be announced when China thinks it is the right time.

Capacity build up continues unhampered. This is what is needed by China at the moment. Invaded lands will be incrementally added to complete sovereignty.

.
I don't think ADIZ is a good idea in SCS. It would unnecessarily escalate an already tense situation. Best thing for China to do is complete the construction on those airfields located on the three islands. After Mischief, Fiery Cross and Subi airfields are completed, they will be China's Guam in SCS.
