Well you dont need to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. Indians are trying to reinvent the wheel when clearly they can just cooperate with other countries and get on with building much modern weaponry. India wasted years on Arjun and Tejas which they could have saved by getting into joint venture of fighters like gripen or even could have cooperated with israel.

Pakistan on the other hand just took what was already there and started to learn from it. Now with even far less resources we have a much better base for next gen platform than india.

In short never let useless arrogance and pride get in the way of your goals.

Yes agreed, but we are working and also purchasing require defense missile systems to protect out major cities..

We are not going to fight a war any soon. Hopefully, we will able to more sure our cities in the future...

Last time, a Chinese "expert" said that Agni-5 may have range of 8000km. Since then, every Indian jumps up and down - "Chinese acknowledges our technological power".
