China says can build what it wants on South China Sea isles

What is not true? you defeat the Japan by yourself? You were super power? To become Permanent UNSC takes more than just you on the winning team. Japan and India did apply for the seat as well, but they were not selected. They recognize you because you were potential to have big military, and influential in the region, not because you people brave and fight ferociously.

And for your record Vietnamese fought in Europe.

Their claims get bolder by the day,no wonder they are the laughingstock of the world!

It seems all Viets think they are either already a brown superpower, or they will be as soon as they annex and imperialize the "sub-Mekong region" (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Burma). Some of the most extremist irredentists even want to annex Guangdong and Guangxi. Personally, I've never heard of a superpower with less than <2000 USD GDP/capita .

Considering how Jiang Jieshi only had loose control over the warlords and how Chinese lacked technology/discipline the fact that Chinese wasn't fully conquered(unlike the Vietnamese) was quite remarkable.

Chinese was able to waste Japanese manpower and resources imagine if the Japanese were able to convince the Indians to fight for them.

In the end you can whine all you want,Vietnam wasn't chosen and China was.

and they called us Prussian of Asian and you earned respect by the name Sick Man of Asian? The wests laugh at you every day, from Made in China products, to China Smack...etc. How many countries do respect you? In this forum a lone, it is you Chinese vs everyone else (U.S., Philippines, India, Japan, Vietnam, Korea and even Russia) how many respect you earn in this forum, from pakistan? let not talk about the world.

Funny thing that their concept of 南進 was based on Sinicizing other ethnicities:woot:

The last time they razed Yongzhou and took Qinzhou and Lianzhou they were sent packing by Song troops, but they always emphasize about poor Vietnam being bullied by China:laughcry:

I don't whine, you just make us irk when you fabricate history and made you like super super power already when the facts you were humiliated and now seek for vengeance and respect from the world. Why the U.S and Russia did not seek any recognition? Because they already have, and they have been known the two super forces.

I do not know in the future involvement of China in world affair but for the last 300 years history, your role were minimal. Stop fabricate history like you're doing with SCS.

And then the so called Prussian of Asia got colonized by the French and Japanese while China at its weakest didn't succumb.:woot:

So why did the mighty Prussian Nguyen dynasty call for the help of the Sick man Qing in an attempt to ward off the French?:woot:

Nope, that is Chinese mentality, think they are super power. The Viet always think themselves as Victim of all the bulliers.

Show me my posts where I used fabricated history.

Late Qing and Early modern day China was notorious for being corrupt and unwilling to change therefore it was already rotting while the Europeans/Japanese accelerated the process.

You must be brain dead if you think Chinese only had minimal influence this last 300 years.

:omghaha: they even needed the sick man of Asia against the Americans

You want an answer for your questions? Go and ask the Western, ask them why they called Vietnam Prussian of Asia and China Sick Man of Asia. Vietnamese did not make up those names.

But somehow when Vietnamese bullies others it doesn't count:cheesy:

The Prussian of Asia begged the Sick Man for help:cheesy:

I'm not denying these titles existed but Vietnamese did not fare better against Western colonizers.

Even though China's GDP/capita is >3 times higher than Vietnam's, and our total GDP is magnitudes higher, we still don't think of ourselves as a superpower. Only Vietnamese are so delusional. In fact, you show your delusions in the next sentence, thinking you are a "victim" and a "Prussian" at the same time. Do you realize they are completely paradoxical concepts?

It seems the delusional Vietnamese ego can be satisfied by the cheapest compliments. Did you know Europeans also called Eritreans the "Prussians of Africa"? How come these cheap imitation "Prussians" pale so much in comparison to the original ? In their minds, Europeans will never think of you as equals to the original Prussians.

The difference with China is that we never need their flowery compliments. They can call us the "sick man" if they want. In the end, they still have to give this "sick man" a UNSC permanent seat :agree:.

The Vietnam Solution - Robert D. Kaplan - The Atlantic

The Vietnamese leaders of the 1970s, wrote Singapore’s then prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew, in his 2000 memoir, were “insufferable,” priding themselves as the “Prussians of Southeast Asia.” But the arrogance, as Vietnamese leaders have told me, didn’t last. Severe food shortages and the collapse of the Soviet empire in 1989–91 forced Vietnam to pull its troops out of Cambodia. Vietnam was now utterly friendless, its triumph over the Americans a distant memory. “The feeling of victory in that war was always muted,” a Vietnamese diplomat tells me, “because there was never a peace dividend.”
