Because of the incorrect wording used, what they were trying to say came out completely differently to what they said. Just one word can change the whole sentence just like it happened here. If there was death, then it would be all over domestic Chinese media because English language media repeat local language media.
so,either you(if you are wrong) or the writer(if he used wrong word),is moron.which is fine...by the way,its not "MY STORY".unlike some,I posted the news from Xinhua site itself.I gave the link below.check it before making any further comments.
Read Xinhua, China Daily, Global Times on a daily basis and you will see many mistakes because they don't use the appropriate word and it ends up screwing up the entire sentence. Spelling mistakes are frequent as well. This happens too much in english language Chinese media.
