China’s Fight For Supremacy And India’s Subtle Rise – Analysis

Well the British cut the hands of the Textile Makers(mainly muslin) in modern day Bangladesh which was a huge industry back then and completely destroyed everything in that industry only so that low quality english textiles could take the industry. And i mean literally cut off the hands of the workers so that they cannot make them any more as this muslin required a lot of skill. Other than that they introduced tea to us South Asians, at first they paid us to have tea, then they gave it for free, and then they started charging money... and very soon it became expensive. Well opium and tea is not the same thing but both are addictive and it gives you an idea of how these guys operated.

Maybe so. But a supply of opium back then would cost as much as an entire person's life savings, especially for a poor villager.

Plus, it was likely to kill you as well. Drugs in those days were literally poison, there was no quality control.

So we were bankrupted and poisoned at the same time. They just made us pay for the poison.

Opium Wars and it's legacy were the worst times for China only until the Communist came and rounded up all the opium users and shot them all. they also gave the 3 great victories that Assured China it's place in the world. Defeating Japanese 1 Sino-Japanese war , Defeating the Western backed Kuomintang winning the Chinese Civil War 2, and the Korean War China at it's weakest Point Drove out 16 nations + Driving out the UN backed USA superpower 3.

I have no problem with white people, it was you who interrupted this conversation about history. What I said was a historical fact, unless you think the Native Americans exterminated themselves.

And everyone knows you are an Indian behind two American flags, don't think I haven't read your other posts.

Even then, you still could not counter any of the arguments.

Same goes for the Tibetans buddy and others who suffered under Mao's regime.

And thats fine, I've been called Indian ever since I joined this forum so Im pretty used to it :)

If you want to debate about who killed more, create another thread. I jumped in when you brought up America.

Now the Europeans are begging at our feet at their decline and fall.

Now the Europeans are begging at our feet at their decline and fall.

That's too premature. We still have decades to go before we are at an acceptable level of power.

Plus, "revenge" is not important here. All those people who committed atrocities against us, are long dead.

All I care about now, is improving the average standard of living for our people. For China to become powerful like it was before... that itself is already revenge enough.

He alone killed about 20 million+ people more than Hitler and Stalin combined Mao: The Unknown Story - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most of those deaths were a result of famine. Using Hitler as a comparison would be like saying murder and manslaughter are the same thing. Famine in China was common during the nationalist government, yet liberals seem to have selective amnesia and demonize only Mao.

While I don't dispute some of Mao's policies was a disaster for China, liberals who use the great leap forward and Mao in order to discredit the present Chinese government, they do so not out of concern for China or some kind of noble pursuit of justice but to undermine the sovereignty of China. It's rather disingenuous and self serving.

mao zedong is one of the greatest people in the history of chinese civilization.
considering where china was at, it took a remarkable man like mao zedong to give china back to the han chinese from whites and japanese.

just remember, without mao, present day china would not be possible.

deng would not have been able to do economic reforms if china was politically unstable like it was before mao.

the west hates mao because he kicked out those white bastards from looting china.

mao zedong will go down in history as the man that revived china from 300 years of absolute horror.

Not necessarily India, but there are other countries which are rising and one of them would one day replace China just as China would replace USA as numero uno.
No one can stay number one forever. So it's good to be kind and humble to people you meet while going up, cuz you'll meet them again while coming down.

While Mao was a brilliant strategists, he was a horrible politician. Some of his policies were down right disastrous. People with high ideals tend to fall short, which is ironic because many liberals share the same uncompromising attitudes with the very people they despise.

Westerners had already been kicked out of China by the nationalist, if not them then the Japanese would have done it. I think what's more remarkable is that China prospered in spite of Mao not because of. Communism was simply a minor setback, no matter what happened after the colonial period, China would have engaged in capitalist reforms and set themselves on the path of modernity.

India will replace China to be the No.1 in economy in the coming decades, it will be nonsensical on anybody's part to think otherwise.

Albeit slowly, not as rapidly has China did.

india will be lucky to stay a united country as many ethnic groups seek independence, sikhs, tamils, etc.
india is politically extremely vulnerable having no major ethnic group.

china is 90% han chinese.

Chinese people always claims high IQ but at the sometime lack in rights to freedom of expression and liberty of thoughts in their country which is a logical paradox. I doubt their claims on IQ.

Chinese IQ claims sounds similar to Black people taking pride in the sexual stereotypes of being the most well endowed.
