its not the facts that causes malicious reactions, its the intent behind it. nobody disputes the facts, and India does have plenty of issues to deal with.

I believe its pointless to analyze intent. Its like reading the tea leaves. And if someone read it wrong and start attacking base on assumptions, this would just degrade the quality of the forum. Having say that, some facts are widely known and there is no point of sharing it again and again. In CD's case, I didn't trace back his response far enough. I based my original response on his one post. He was just pointing out facts to someone that was confused about them. That was all.

A reality check. The Chinese are way ahead in terms of economy due to their ability to make a decision! On our side we as citizens are selfish and corrupt ourselves and busy in electing people who are same. When the leaders are selfish and only interested in own economic progress how can you expect anything good? And the leaders are not born, we elect them from our own society. The Indian Polity is the mirror of its society!

If Indians start to see reality like you do, then India is on its way to make progress. In a 12 step program for addicts, the first step is to realize that you need help and you need to seek it. You have a great grasp on reality.

North Korea is a military dictatorship. Their ideology is Songun, not socialism. There is no such thing as the Communist Party of Korea. They also have a GDP/capita comparable to India.

Laos is landlocked, was bombed by the US and only gained independence in 1975. Yet they have a GDP/capita similar to India.

Cuba has a GDP per capita 5 times higher than India. They have one of the highest HDIs and average lifespans in the world. There's nothing you can laugh at about Cuba.

When you laugh at Cuba, it shows that you actually are laughing 7 times harder at yourselves.

I am laughing with joy at the successes communism/ military dictatorship/ army rule has brought to NK, Cuba and Laos. People and countries look up to them with pride and flock in line to learn from them.
