Dont take it as a thread that bashes China. There is lot to be proud of. Yes, 100 years of national humiliation happened. But havent you overcome all of that to become one of the strongest today?? That is what you should really be proud of. Instead you took the bait. You should actually treat this positively, cuz its in your favor. And yes, if something humilitating in the past is used as motivation for the present, its not wrong. Its nationalism and it brings a nation together.

That said, 1962, was a 1 month war. Too much is being read into it. We lost, China won. We lost because we were outnumbered and our leaders were dumb. And we were ill equipped to fight. This war does not glorify China. What glorifies it , is the resolve with which you guys have built a country after all the violence and atrocities committed against the Chinese by the Japanese and others.
