Actually, I am also wondering how Australia is going to compete with China.
I know we have given up manufacturing.
At least Australia has resources and agriculture.
Resources don't go on forever. Hopefully, we will keep on producing quality agricultural products.
We have good expertise in agriculture. We are very good in wine and abalone.

In the service area, we encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Australia.
We have kangaroos, wallabies, koala, wombat, etc.
We have nice beaches, open spaces and clean air.
Last night I heard on TV that Lake Tyrell is becoming popular with Chinese tourists.

Well, in fact China is not just largest by most counts, but even larger than rest-of-the-world-combined in many critical capacities, say several fundamental industries and infrastructures. Now China already owns largest net external assets in the world. Let's continue to expand the dominance through R&D, patents and industrial upgrade at home, expand asset ownership through building/take-over across the globe.

Pacifying or doomsaying, what IMF says means zero to China, if they want to learn something instead of making sixth-grader quality or fanboy talks, perhaps they should move HQ here, we can train these kids.
