There will be only two great naval powers in the Indian Ocean the next few decades and they will be the US and China. US already controls the IOR but the Chinese will start contesting them from the next decade onwards with a fleet of nuclear carriers that will be comparable to the US ships.

Even the Russians and British will be able to use their advanced SSNs to sink the Indian ships with impunity that India has no answer for.

Becos Indian is impotent in power projection and their navy is inferior. The forever Kolkata class destroyer is still not completed yet, meaning they cannot defend their carrier or fleet deep in sea and away from shore and they have virtually no amphibious forces to talk about. They even need to beg US to donate a ex-USS Treton class LDP but they have no mechanised armour capable of swimming to shore to support an assault on shallow sea.

PLAN is superior in every compartment compare to INS.

"imported weapons"? India builds frigates and destroyers.

Ins Mysore for eg is an older variant destroyer build by india and its has enough fire power to take down your navy, air force and half your army

Indian Navy cannot dominate IOR when SL sits at the southern tip of India. SL can check both Eastern and Western seaboards of India.
