China always look to play the second fiddle to USA, they know what happens when they go against USA.
But for the countries around it, it projects as if it is a super power and is struggling against USA to keep the balance of this globe.
Definitely not like the USSR of the past !
Totally agree .
Noone ,not a single neighbour would dared to challenge USSR at her times .But now China is a punching bag of small nations like Philippines .
USSR was more powerful than even US and she had considerable support from all over the world including democratic India .
In here China is just shooting on foot .
On topic :When MEA briefed the press after NSG ,they criticised one nation .And they meant that .
India was always cared the concerns of PRC .We gave priority to our neighbour more than West .But the only thing they knows was betrayal .US supplied weapons to Pakistan but they never supplied nukes or missiles .
It was China that proliferated all this and demonstrated an audacity to lecture us about NSG rules .
Unlike we always followed NSG rules and regulation even though we are not in the group .Our only objection was nuclear apartheid .Something that we wont like .
They need rules in NSG .Of Course now they gets the rules not from NSG but from Hague.
They are slow builders, they know they cannot match USA in strength and power.
So they are strengthening their country and waiting for their turn to topple USA in theory.
But USA is the one who is responsible for economic miracle that happened in China last decade so they clearly know China and are controlling it by alliances and other means.
Mean while chinese are masking their real intentions and trying to play nice guy.
Chinese CCP actions show their real intentions, ccp words are not trust worthy at all !
China is powerful indeed because of the CCP and single party governing system .And there most weaken spot is also that CCP .World will always see this nation suspiciously .So their diplomatic efforts will always slow .
But US and India dont have any such issue .
A waiver is a bilateral agreement between two parties. It is not a multilateral platform so the rule don't applied. Remember, it is the US who want to add that rule to NSG and we are just applying it. Just standard procedure. Like I said, respect the rule.
As for the case international court, it takes two in court. UNCLOS does not allow unilateral settlement. We always follow and play by the rule. It is the US who doesn't and you are just a pawn or as our media said , a "spoil golden child". Once the West no longer find you useful, they toss you to the dumpster. Be advice by us.
UNCLOS does not have the right to settle sovereign territory. They are strictly a maritime court. So play the rule, follow the rule, and respect the rule.
This time ,it was India that pulled all the efforts for NSG .US didnt involved like they did in 2008 .
But 44 nations supported us .Our own effort enabled us to grab 44 nations support in NSG.But so called emerging superpower only got 4 nation support and it says a lots .
