I want to you give you a scenario, long back same I given to a member here which I dont remember.

For sake of argument, you are Xi Jinping and I am your top level adviser. And you ask from me about benefit and repercussion to make public that Pak is our military partner, and we should make an announcement that if Pak is attacked, it means it is an attack on China.

I say,, that would be horrific in diplomatic term, there is very little benefit from Pak in strategic term. Moreover, it make India as our ultimate enemy, then we cant expect more from India. It drive out India from BRICS or any chance to bring India to SCO, and make them as Chinese ally.

Moreover, then its inevitable as an Indian tit-for-tat policy to join Quadrilateral treaty. And possible American forces deployment inside India in future. Sir, that would be nightmare,, moreover India jump inside SCS, and possible starting to help in Vietnam WMD and delivery system. And possibly most of western and South East Asia keep there eyes close on it. Sir, that would be total chinese failure in diplomatic term.
