China plans world's 1st nearby habitable planet search with space telescope

Good luck to SpaceX if they can achieve landing humans on the Mars in 6 to 7 year, Musk can brag all the things in the world he wants like establishing human colony of at least 10000 people on Mars by 2040 some years ago put forward by him. NASA doesn't plan to send humans to Mars until 2040. Chinese Mars station should be build around late 2030s.

If SpaceX is saying it can and seeing its non-traditional non-"industry" ways then it will. And please have a read and watch of the MEGA drive post I linked below and which will realize newer kind of flying vehicles including spacecraft.

Okay. Now all you need is an engineer capable of going twice the speed of light to reach there in 16 years.

Or,

On teleportation, don't know what people believe here about teleportation. But let's say it's possible. Till when can we expect to crack the code ? And what are the theories ? Can we teleport ourselves to other planets ?
@jamahir

Teleportation can certainly work but only once the receiver / assembler is in place on the target world but then too beaming the info of the living or non-living source object may encounter problems like solar activity interference and rock or ice objects in space so the info many never reach and never be known for hours or days for far away places. :) But the technique is workable and useful for normal uses when the source object ( living or non-living ) can stay on at the transmission place in normal space weather but in emergencies in unusual space weather it is better to go in spacecraft, either chemically-propelled as now or using the in-development MEGA drive whose article and interview of the chief designer I posted here and the MEGA drive can supposedly propel the craft to light speed without any traditional fuel ( chemical or nuclear ) and with the only input being electricity.

Now I'm curious, have SpaceX already know the way how to re-launch their Star Ship from the Mars surface? I haven't seen SpaceX send their Starship to Mars, nor even land their space craft or even bring their space craft up, and leave the Mars orbit. Not to mention that Mars has minus 70 decree celcius, I think. So how could their 'human' survive in their first Mars human mission?

1. Starship plus the Super Heavy booster will soon be tested this year. The month @Hamartia Antidote may know. I believe just the Starship - not including the Super Heavy booster - has been tested before. Mars' gravity is less than Earth's. After the next test SpaceX may test Starship from some rocky ground on Earth to act as analogue to a suitable landing site on Mars. And then initial landings on Mars will be uncrewed.

2. Mars I believe is -60 celsius, not -70. But humans live in the Yakutsk area in -71 celsius in winter I think ( please watch the tour vid in this thread of mine ) so Yakutsk can serve as the training place for Mars crews.

You are thinking on a very very small scale. They are not going to send one spaceship to Mars. There will be dozens (if not more) in a swarm. Including unmanned refuelers (with some landing and some staying in orbit). SpaceX's goal is a production rate of one craft a day. (The number of boosters will be lower). A refueled Starship can reach orbit from Mars surface. It will then refuel again in orbit and can easily make it back to Earth's orbit.

The surface temperature of Mars in the shade is not worse than the surface of the moon in the shade. We have already dealt with this problem.

How much electricity are we talking here ? Let's say for a spacecraft of 100,000 tonnes.

I don't remember the professor in the interview vid talking about approximations for electricity input for that kind of spacecraft because the propulsion system is still in development though movement has been seen in this electro-mechanical propulsion system. Please watch the interview. :)

My personal opinion is they should build a gigantic Mars space station in Earth's orbit with a bunch of simple Mars landers attached to it and send the whole thing (people and all) to Mars. They then can pop up and down to the Mars surface with these specialized lander craft. Let the big starships be unmanned and take the risk of surface landing heavy with tons of food, fuel, and supplies.

In sometime inshallah. Currently working on something else.

All very well to search for habitable planets 32 light years away but shouldn't China be concentrating on landing humans on Mars in six to seven years from now ? Unless China is building a Dune-like Holtzman Engine fold-space spaceship piloted by an intelligent computer.
Shouldn't China also try harder to push for greener energy ? The closest habitable planet is on which we live... We should try and preserve that...

Below is the Greenest form of electricity generation :

There is research going on to develop micro generators of electricity that can power at device level, whether a wearable computer or a stove or an aircraft or a spacecraft. Devices that will cancel the need to use petroleum in vehicles ( for petroleum is mainly used in vehicles and vehicles are becoming electric ) and natural gas to power factories and power plants.

One such device-level micro-generator of electricity whose development uses the kinetic energy of the omnipresent and never-ending cosmic particles, neutrinos, to set atomic oscillations in a structure composed of interweaving layers of nanometric graphene and silicon and uses electrodes to pick up small amounts of electricity generated by the piezo-electric effect from the oscillating layers and combines a set of such small structures along with a rechargeable battery to have a self-charging battery system that will never run out of electricity until the oscillating structures fail physically or the rechargeable battery fails. This device is proposed to power any common modern electric and electronic device from a wearable computer to an aircraft ( the last when the generating devices are arranged in groups to get higher power ) to heart pacemaker to induction stove to spacecraft. This will be the ultimate form of electricity generation. In fact if used on Earth it can supposedly oscillate for other forms of cosmic and human-made radiation too like phone signals between phones and towers. The German organization Neutrino Energy Group is leading this effort and organizations from other countries like Russia and India are / were participating with it. The Indian side is the institution called C-MET under the IT ministry. One project in motion is Car Pi :
BERLIN, Oct. 14, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- One of todays most ambitious projects is getting underway: a new partnership between India and Germany is paving the way for the electric car "Car Pi", which will get its energy from the environment rather than from a charging station, making it completely independent of "dishonest" electricity generated by the combustion of fossil fuels.

The announcement comes from the International Conference on Multifunctional Electronic Materials and Processing (MEMP 2021) in India. Dr. Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar, a computer scientist and the Rector of India's Nalanda University, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC). Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar is the developer of the PARAM supercomputer and the founder of India's state-run High Performance Computing program.

The pact establishes a new cooperation between India's C-MET Science Centre and the Neutrino Energy Group, one of the world's top electronic materials research and development institutes. This Berlin-based, German-American business has created a device that converts ambient energy into electrical current using an innovative graphene-based composite material. "This new, unique smart partnership has the potential to put in motion revolutionary processes in the fields of energy generation and automotive technology," says Neutrino Energy Group CEO Holger Thorsten Schubart.

The pact was signed under the auspices of the Indian government and other partners by C-MET, a Pune-based materials center for electronic technologies that is part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and, therefore, the Indian government. It paves the way for the Car Pi to be developed by merging financial and intellectual resources.

The collaboration will focus on materials science, electronic materials, 2D materials, the production of quantum dots, and the development of applied devices. The project's implementation budget has been estimated at $2.5 billion USD.

The Car-Pi electric car, which does not require power from charging stations, is intended to be the product of the collaboration. Autonomous power sources integrated within the body of the electric vehicle will collect energy from the environment and generate propulsion. This method will also be utilized to charge the compact battery pack that is used to cover peak loads. This novel method has the potential to alleviate electric mobility constraints such as long charging periods or the need to ramp up conventional power generation to fulfill the demand for electric vehicles, all while reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

Shri Sanjay Dhotre, India's Minister of State for Education, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology, said at MEMP 2021 that the alliance will "certainly have the broadest support of the Government of India."

Dr. Bharat Bhanudas Kale, co-founder and director of the Centre for Materials for Electronic Technology (C-MET) and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in London, is also part of the team and sees the signing of the partnership memorandum and the start of the collaboration as particularly significant for the global community in the field of energy and materials. In this domain, the scientist is one of the world's leading specialists.

"Despite the fact that the technology has been verified and tested in lab settings, there is still a long way to go before the first Car Pi hits the road." Holger Thorsten Schubart notes that the development of the self-charging Car Pi necessitates additional study into power generating dependability under various situations, as well as safety and a variety of other factors. According to him, the design and demonstration facility in Frankfurt will be an important component of the project.

"We are delighted to begin this adventure with C-MET, which is known for its globally recognized expertise - the Neutrino Energy Group has been seeking a qualified partner to manage such a huge and complicated project for a long time," stated Holger Thorsten Schubart. "As wonderful and audacious as it may sound, building a self-charging electric car is unquestionably a new milestone in the history of automotive engineering and in particular electric mobility."
So imagine a world without huge, centralized power generation facilities and the cross-country high-tension wiring infrastructre and then the infrastructure in the city at zone level and neighborhood level. Imagine a world where oil politics is not played out. Imagine a world where personal vehicles have been abolished and all public transport within cities is through skybuses and skytaxis :

This will be a serene world, a rollback to pre-oil times.

Good that it will have 140 tons of capacity but what will be its configurations, its forms ? Will it be like SpaceX Starship : reusable, having crew compartments and able to land by itself on Mars ?

By that time SpaceX will have landed humans on Mars and gotten them to bring many samples. :)

When will the station be built ?

Yes and also SpaceX is focused on Mars for wider reasons : for humans to be a multiplanetary species and for I believe closeness to the resources-rich Asteroid Belt. Earth's Moon is useless in both regards. So you tell me which approach is better and beneficial ?

Yes, Long March 9 Rocket is Reusable

Moon Resource is clear enough HELIUM-3, while Mars resource is still undefined.

To Power their Fusion Reactors

With Fusion Reactors, Unlimited Green Energy Power is in Chinese hands. Just like 5G Tech
