China plans to invest $10 billion in Pakistan’s energy sector

We are not blaming China but tell me didnt china always says that we will be with Pakistan in bad times Now we have bad times & you are waitihng for better time tell me when we will have better time whole world will be ready to invest, we dont need china than we need this investment now.

There is a saying Freind in need is a freind indeed.
china is no longer a dirigiste economy, and the best the current government can do is to offer some policy/tax incentives for chinese firms to invest in pakistan (supply of military hardware and technology is another matter entirely, of course; so is the mobilization of chinese diplomatic resources to help pakistani causes.) and if, despite all these policy incentives, chinese firms are still reluctant to move money to pakistan, one must conclude that no government rebates can compensate for the hidden costs associated with instability in pakistan.

in the final analysis, i believe it comes down to a simple choice for pakistan: whether they want to continue this toxic relations with u.s., which pays the political and military classes with billions but costs pakistan tens of billions each year in the violence and terrorism americans induced in pakistan that also happens to drive away tourists and investors - or pakistan wants to make peace with its own people and commits itself to economic collaboration with chinese people. all the military cooperation between the two allies over the years haven't altered pakistan politicians and generals' most fundamental political calculus that they are willing to be dragged into an american war as long as they receive shiny new american arms and/or bribes.

I agree that we are loosing more in relations with the US in war on terror than they ever compensated yet in the name of so called aid, but again so many Pakistani youth is asking tht question we always hear abt China being the best freind, can u tell me the Era of Musharraf when pakistan was receiving more than 8 billion$ in FDI there was stability in Pakistan as well if u see the Data of that years still u will get countries like UAE, EU, US, Japan but china is now where even in tht senerio.

I know Chinease are more sincere with Pakistan than nyone else but wht we have seen & hear are always plans nothing else.
