China party expels general who killed self, indicts another

Hi, are you trying to convince people like me to believe you know more about the ground reality in China than a local? Is that not as irrelevant as asking a virgin for sex techniques?

Ground reality in China is basically what your govt tells you is the ground reality.

. . . .
lol, how long have you lived in China? China expert. This guy is getting so funny now.

I don't have to live in China to picture what communism is about.

Ever heard of the Great Firewall of China?

See, outside China, we have something called the Internet. What you have is the "Intranet". I don't have to live in China to use common sense information about China.

Then you know nothing about China, China has the world biggest net population and argubly the most digitalized nation on this planet. We are already a cashless society and I am using the fast internet in Beijing, China is going to lead the 5G revolution, so stop talking about the internet when India has so many people even have trouble to have access to electricity and running water. You are ranking the bottom in human development index.

Uncontrolled social media is dangerous, the civil riots all across the Arab world was started by Facebook, ISIS also use them to spread hate.

16 lynchings in 2 months. Is social media the new serial killer?
At least 22 people have been killed by mobs since May 10 on the suspicion of being child-lifters or involved in cow slaughter in different parts of the country. Police have blamed rumour mongers and fake messages spread through social media for the lynchings.

Do you know that "dissent" is protected by our courts?

What you called "dangerous" and "rioting" is how we ensure the govt doesn't take actual control over the lives of citizens. In the US, this is the reason why they have guns and the 2nd Amendment enshrined in their constitution. The idea is to keep the govt humble and mindful of its activities, that it's simply an extension of the people's will.

In China, you are handing away what little's left of your freedom on a silver platter. You guys literally have no idea what freedom is.

India has third world problems, and it will go away in a generation with the way things are going. Things will improve drastically after that in terms of freedom and our fundamental right to life, liberty and privacy.

But the Chinese are permanently handing over all their life and liberty to just a handful of people you do not even know.

LOL This is epic typical Indian that can only get things done in their head and nothing in reality.
You should really get out of your ignorance bubble.

Internet will be controlled, it's like a real society which needs police to check crimes, it's a trend that can not be reversed, US and India will put control on it sooner or later.
As for you beloeved democracy, China was the first democratic republic in Asia since 1911, when India was still a British colony, so stop claiming that democracy handed to you by your former master, we tried it long before you did, and it brought chaos and disaster just like what's still going on in India now. We ditched it and now we are much better off. You can keep it but don't taut about something that we threw away as garbage decades ago.

A handful of people? How many years did Nehru-Gandi family ruled India under the pretext of democracy? Now
Rahul Gandi still exercises great influence in India politics, speaking of a handful of people...

No, we were not handed democracy, we were not a democracy during British Raj, we were run by a monarchy and the highest office was the Governor General.

We chose democracy ourselves. The British tried to deny us that too through partition and encouraging the writ of the various monarchies in India.

As for China, the territories that embraced democracy became first world countries, Hong Kong and Taiwan. And territories that rejected democracy lost millions of people due to communist policies, and today those regions have no freedom.

Most of that is simply exaggerated.

It's not even close to what China does.

They were elected. They are public folks, they don't work from the shadows.

A small place is always easy to manage, if Shanghai , shenzhen are countries they can long be into first world, Singapore is run by one family , still fares pretty well.
So why not use an obvious reference, a country which has similar size of population and is a democracy, India, to compare?

LOL, a handful people can always be elected.

How about the US?

LOL, a handful people can always be elected.

But they are not always guaranteed to rule. Not the case in communism.

PRC was founded in 1949, India got Independence around same time. also US population is much smaller than China and India. why are you so afraid of comparing China with India to see how democracy shines?

How about the US?

But they are not always guaranteed to rule. Not the case in communism.
They are almost like heraditary, a family dynasty, which is unthinkable in China.
