Just pure Buthurt/jealousy with zero facts about Gwadar
And friend, what facts do YOU have on Gwadar? It's not even yours anymore as it has been leased to the Chinese for 40 years! How they operate it would be none of your business! (pun intended).

You need to counter the OPs arguments with straight facts which you have failed to do and glossed over it by using the most used word by some of those Pakistanis who know squat about a subject - and that is.......'BUTT HURT'! I'm sick to the point of puking, hearing these two words in every other thread.

if its not buthurt then what it is, does any one in Pakistan writes biased articles about development projects in india and every week we get one butthurt article from indians

Fromwhatever sketchy information is available, it looks like a combination of loans for road and rail infra, and power plants to be built bythe Chinese for which Pakistan has given a sovereign guarantee to buy all the power produced at a fantastic rate of PKR 18 per unit (INR equivalent 11.53). Even the powerplants which are going to be all thermalvariety are going to be put up at a minimum of $2 billion per GW (1 GW=1000 MW).

As far as the power projects are concerned they are probably loans though not sure. However, the road , rail and pipeline infrastructure is purely Chinese investment and not loans.

Rs8.12 per unit tariff approved for Hubco's power project.(cpec project) I would love to know where he got the Rs 18 figure from.

NOTE: The point of my post was not to deny all of his content but to deny his 'conclusion' that Gwadar is overrated.

Really? Can you provide a link to your claims? Or are you just shooting in the breeze?

Gwadar Port to have 100 berths by 2045: minister

May be Port on mars to have 1000 berths by 2044! The context was present, those births will be added only if current succeed,we were talking about present, the present capacity with which this ports will start running.

First ever Chinese Merchant ship takes berth at Gwadar Port

KARACHI: First ever Chinese Merchant ship arrived at Gwadar Port to discharge the electrical equipments.

According to the details, the Chinese Merchant ship MV Cosco DA ZI YUN flag Hong Kong carrying electrical equipment for the port has berthed at Gwadar.

The sources at Port Gwadar informed that the Chinese Merchant ship was escorted by the Pakistan Navy Vessel from the Port Qasim to the Gwadar port.

The newly expanded Gwadar deep water port is a key to a planned $47 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that is nearly complete and expects to process a million tons of cargo from the next year, source maintained.

So even after reading you dont get what it said how dumb are you, its starting its operations and will gradually increased when all the 120 berths are installed. Yes you have read it correctly, Gwadar will have 120 berths when fully operational.
Chabahar has a maximum berth capacity of 20, your mumbai port has 30 berth and the Dubai has 102 berths.

So all of India's ports are going to stay frozen in time till 2045 no less?

What is the schedule for Gwadar to have 120 berths according to the Chinese? 2045 is just ridiculous projectioneering by some minister.

You are constantly abusing and insulting other members I hope Mods take notice of it. That report from Mahaz have you ever saw that video? He said 3 berths, anyways its about your so called 120 berths 3 or 5 as if I care.

There may be some problem with English comprehension, I used the word Operational, the link you quoted about a ship being birthed says it contains the equipment for port, hope you read it again and know the difference between Operational and under construction.

OK so some minister then and not the Chinese themselves. Got it. These things always go according to plans/projections of some minister all the time world over.

Did you just extrapolate the 400 million ton handling capacity from the number of berths as well?

I think writer has zero knowledge as it says that chahabar will connect to every thing writer doesn't know any thing
No 1 chahabar will have only one deep sea berth which might also might not be possible while gawader has ability of 128 deep sea berths
No 2 about central Asia and Kabul studies show that they are still 600 km near to gawader then to chahaber
No 3 even to operate chahaber they will have to use gawader
Chahaber will only benefit Iran on very short scale
