China opens door for medical services for Bangladesh citizens

China has opened its doors for Bangladeshi citizens to get affordable and quality medical treatment in an effort to further boost people-to-people contacts between Bangladesh and China.
Chinese embassy in Dhaka will offer medical visa for Bangladeshi citizens to avail ‘high quality and reliable treatment’ in China.
These were revealed at a function in the city on Wednesday evening.
Chinese ambassador in Dhaka Zhang Zuo attended the function as the chief guest.
Chinese embassy in Dhaka hosted the event at a city hotel marking the formal inauguration of medical treatment in China.
Ambassador Zou said China has come forward with the idea of medical tourism as China offers quality and low-cost advanced treatment.
‘We want to boost people-to-people contact between Bangladesh and China under the Road and Belt Initiative,’ he said.
The ambassador said this medical tourism will help strengthen relations between the two countries.
He handed over formal invitation to 20 preselected patients to get treatment fully funded by the Chinese embassy in Dhaka.
Irving Group, a leading business group in Bangladesh is facilitating treatment of 20 preselected patients in a hospital in Kunming.
Officials of the Irving Group, also local partner of China National Tourism Office said they always focused on further improving bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China.
The speakers at the function said it is another articulation of the close and friendly relationship between Bangladesh and China.
