China offers to reduce US trade deficit with China from 323 billion USD in 2018 to 0 USD by 2024

China can't be a poor manufacturing country forever. Those jobs will be gone overseas for them too.

.
look for more tarriffs until the deficit falls
You go tell that to Trump.
Impose tariffs NOW, what's holding up Trump?
Trump wanted China to be like feckless India, always begging the US as beggars do and keep postponing and no balls to impose retaliatory tariffs on the US.

Mighty US had been merrily imposing sanctions left and right without consequences.
What is frightening the US Now?
Funny watching how the US is desperate for a deal.
Trade war not so easy to WIN after all.

trump might be desperate for a deal. i doubt anyone cares

the consequences for china are real when western manufacturers pack bags and move their factories elsewhere one by one

.
Mr. Trump you have won your first war, which will bring money into the USA....

Now is the time to stop the wars that drain money out of the USA....

Make the USA great again....

Those manufacturers who are not interested in the huge lucrative Chinese market and are mainly there to take advantage of low cost will leave eventually, like how they left Singapore, China Taiwan and China Hong Kong.
We are still surviving after they left long ago.
One big difference is automation and an efficient supply chain have enabled China to keep industries that should have left China long ago to dirt low labor countries like India.
That's so frightening to the US as to now blatantly try so hard with no qualms to stymie the rise of China.

trade is two way street. if the tarriffs have no impact China would not be making proposals to end the dispute

You must have a small brain.
No leader will want an endless dispute that will damage both disputing nations unless you are that juvenile Orange idiot.
You want to tell me that having a trade dispute with the world financial center and biggest economy have no consequences.

I don't know the exact reasons why the US didn't do this 18 years ago, that would have been dire for China.
I suspect its the 9/11.
The difference is this time the US feels the pain as well and is willing to make compromises.
That Orange bully will keep on making demands unless he can feel the pain.
If China were to be like feckless India, they could make a deal long ago but the US will keep coming back and ask for more.
That's why Trump threw out the 1st deal, demanding more.
See how the US go after ZTE and now Huawei.
The Hegemon greed will never be satisfied unless they can feel the pain.

Trump is desperate for a deal, that's why idiotic Peter Navarro is not advising anymore.

your angry tone suggests Trump is getting to you :D:D:D

Perhaps he should leave Canada because it is part of the "evil West" otherwise, it's just all empty words and bravado.

China don't need the west. Never has. Never will.

Without the west (more importantly USA) China would be mired in a terrible state. Even communist China made strides with assistance from your Soviet comrades

china had an illustrious history. From 1500/1600 to 1979 you were mired in stagnation while the West advanced.
You cannot rewrite history mate.

I did not come to Canada by my own accord. China is warm climate. Canada is cold climate.

So what exactly are you trying to convey with the climate comment?

Also, I'm no expert on China climate, but that southern China is a warmer climate, whereas northern China can have pretty cold Winters. so it's not all warm.

. .
My parents do research at University of Waterloo. I came to Canada when I was little.

you should ask your parents why they came to Waterloo and why they have not returned

Your grandparents came to America because they were too poor to make a living in Europe yes?

poverty did not drive my ancestors. desire to achieve bigger things did
