The thing to note is these descriptors are man made, not natural made or god made. In this case Western/European made. For instance what the frigg is Middle to whom? East to whom? Middle from whom? From our perspective for instance from Gwadar it is 20 miles to Iran and 100 miles to Oman. All these "divisions" only expose the Western slave mentality our people have. Europe is Europe. So Asia should be Asia. Do we call Greece/Bulgaria/Macedonia Middle West? The truth is we have Asia. We can divide it into West Asia, South Asia etc. Even then we can differ over exactly where the lines are.

Turkey is in Asia Minor yet sometimes that is lumped as Europe. Even Israel takes part in Eurovision song contest and it's footbal team plays in Euro league. So all these descriptors are fluid and subjective. Let us not fall for Western definition of the world.

In Alexander the Great's time we were firmly entrenched in West Asia. In time of Achaemenid Persia were firmly entrenched in West Asia. During the early Moghul period we were entrenched in Central Asia.

Today I think we are drifting away from South Asia as the British period becomes a distent memory. With hardening of the Radcliffe Line and opening of CPEC Pakistan's destiny looks more to north and west. Many of the multinational companies that have Middle Eastern operations and based in ME cover Pakistan as well. Simply because the India operations cannot cover Pakistan. Thus Pakistan comes often within ME operations.

For thousands of years, the land mass called Pakistan has been part of West-Central Asia. It has nothing to do with Dravidian indians.
