China makes surprise interest rate cut

I agree. Ideologies like Laissez-faire Capitalism or Marxist Communism aren't really the way to go, in my opinion.

I think Deng Xiaoping got it right when he talked about pragmatism. Just do what works, without worrying about ideology. That's my opinion anyway. :)

The end result is usually some type of mixed-economy. As long as it is flexible and willing to adapt, it can do well.

Deny Xiaoping might be right when he says do what works, but the thing is sometimes doing what works might lead you to no where, you need to have a clear vision, CD you should start doing some more research on banking systems which were created in the past empires & see which ones is beneficial or take few leafs out of it.

there is no point inventing the whole wheel is it? all you need to do is look around, probably few leaves of austrian school of economic thought as well.

Good stimulus for the market, made some money in the market coz' of this upmove. :D

.
china has made crucial reforms by allowing private capital into state-owned sectors, widening the exchange rate trading band, and now a step towards liberalizing interest rates.

while we reform, indian reforms are stalling.
shows which political system works.

exchange rate flexibility, interest rates liberalization and reduction of the 40 items in the capital controls will make china a very efficient and even stronger and even more influencial economy in the world.
