China launches super-speed test train

Did it passed crash test??
There is no train crash standard in China. Chinese trains are not designed with a crash in mind.

What are the safety procedures in place that prevents it plunging down the bridge again?

1. Positive Traffic Control System(It was disabled by lightening in Wenzhou crash, which doesn't happen elsewhere).
2. Jacobs bogie.

hmm....not bad...as i mentioned earlier..china has abudant(surplus) human resource they can experiment upon....we dont ve dat luxury..we use rat, you probably use human live to experiment...perhaps that is the reason we are lagging behind china in so called development....so good luck if u do it in 2011/12....hope by 2050...ur gross human death toll by then would not be less than ur population at dat time...enjoy a ride....:-)

Dude, what planet are you on??
Life is even cheaper in India.
Where is the India where life is so valuable?? Bizzarro World India ???

I don't know about China so comparisons are futile - but life is considered dispensable in India.

I would ride a Chinese High Speed Train over Korean Air Line flight anytime. That's the real deathtrap.

You know what dispensable means, right ?? For once, I totally agree with you. Life is very dispensable in India.

Learn some English please.

Since Korean Air doesn't fly China's domestic routes, it is a non-starter. Unless you are interested in riding a CRH train into the ocean, that is.

Yeah, but it'll crash over mainland China, so always a concern for us.

Korean Air incidents and accidents - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I flew Korean Air once, from Hong Kong to Seoul, because Cathay Pacific was filled. It is pretty sad airline by Asian standard. The service is terrible and the seats were not comfortable. I would rate it somewhere around Shenzhen airline level, below China Southern. The plane is also very old and somewhat dirty. Personally I would not fly it again unless I have to. The CRH trains are far more comfortable of course than any airline so you can't really compare.

Again, I didn't escape. I was born an American.

The rest of your "English" I didn't understand. You're not passing any citizenship test buddy. Sorry.

The link says Korean Air had no injuries/death since 2000s. Safe as it can be. The reason for this is that Korean Air is a major aircraft maintainer; even the USAF F-15s in Alaska and Japan get overhauled and serviced at Korean Air's maintenance facility.

OH NOOOOOO!!! That means Korean Air Lines is running on borrowed time. Ever heard of a statistical fluke. The house always wins in the end. But, by all means, please fly Korean Air Lines Mr. Korean. What do I care??

Koreans are by far the most nationalistic people I know. I swear you have to really press your luck to see any foreign brand cars in Korea. Every car I saw while I was in Seoul was either a KIA or Hyandai. Not saying they are bad cars but they are not great either. Most KIA or Hyandai designs are inferior copies of Japanese cars it is pretty well known fact.

So to answer your questions, yes I have NO doubt that Mr. Korean, if he is not sporting a false flag, would fly Korean air whenever he can, even though it is a very subpar airline.

Again, I didn't escape. I was born an American.

This is a fine technological achievement by China. Out of curiosity, are the tickets within the common man's reach price-wise? And are these significantly cheaper than air travel? I mean, if I were Chinese and the ticket prices were about the same - why would I want to travel by a 500 km/h train than an aircraft unless I was saving some serious dough ?

Train tickets in China are really cheap, just two days ago I rod home to my parents for Christmas and the one way second class ICE ticket for merely 150 km costs 43 € (about 56 US$). The same distance would cost around 7 € (9 US$) in China with high speed trains.

By all means, your English grammar is quite sad. I can point out at least 10 errors in your last sentence and they are not for your wannabe ebonics spelling. I don't think it is wise for your to use such bad English to argue against someone whose first language is English.

P.S. there is something about posting on this site that I make more typos than usual :P
