Many Chinese love to see Trump to be the next president, because they think Trump will screw up the US big time. But Many Chinese many not have paid enough attention to Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, the guy who will actually running the show for the next 4 years. Don't expect they go easy on China, and don't expect the "imminent USA retreat from Asia". Rough time ahead for China.

China should continue to play its own game, OBOR, and let the world to see who is doing the Building and who is doing the Bombing. Countries will come to their own conclusion.

Only the naive assume that Trump will screw America. Being the owner of over 500 business entities and prolonged exposure to corporate world of the Wall Street, Trump has insight and clear understanding of the issues and challenges of the common American citizen and American markets. His (disclosed) policies are to the point and make sense for American consumers and markets.

Now of-course, no man has 100% perfect judgement of every issue. This is where the Republican support base comes into the picture. It is a potent combination, my friend.

Regardless of the above, I don't think that Trump seeks to contain China or derail its global economic initiatives. His agenda is to uplift American economy and living standard coupled with the right combination of (checks and balances) in dealings with external elements/investors. For example, he will increase tariffs for Chinese products in the American markets in order to boost the competitiveness of domestic products and industry.
