Wow just wow. What a stability and the crisp smooth angles are insane. China means business. I honestly hope this engine can be fitted on our JF-17. Hard work and dedication. That is what China stands for. One can only marvel at Chinese dedication and achievements.

Not the most artistic and Beautiful Cobra Maneuver, It pulled mid way through didnt tilted the nose back as modern Cobra Maneuvers i have seen by F22, Su27, Mig29, F16 VISTA. but still a big feat from a 3rd Gen Jet. Impressed

But i am pretty damn sure that you didn't realized me and the american were talking about Saab Draken carrying out the P.Cobra maneuver and i commented about Saab Draken pulling this as a big fiat for a 3rd Gen fighter. Infact Draken was a 2nd Gen fighter not 3rd gen.
You got offended because you thought I called J10b a 3rd gen fighter right? We weren't talking about J10 but Draken :welcome:

PS another fun fact is Chinese Fighter jet Generation Reference is difference from the western ones. Chinese call J10, J11b, FC1, F16,F15,Su30,Mig29 etc as 3rd Generation jets and the F22,F35,J20,PAKFA as 4th Generation. Their nomenclature is one figure less then western designation to generations :cheers:

Saab Draken used to do Cobra....
The maneuver is in Fact a controlled Stall..Nothing to do with TVC
I also wonder what the maneuver have to do with TVC , Su-27 , Mig-29 ,F-14 did it without TVC .
you knew probably many more airplane can do it , but in the age of electronic flight , they limit airplanes by limiting the computers which control the flights , in short the hardware can do it but the software is limited .

In China it is said that China has been trying very hard to sell J-10 to Pakistan airforce but Pakistan isn't impressed by this aircraft, with this new TVC Engine, maybe Pakistan can reconsider this offer, this jet will beat Rafale hands down.

if this doesn't impress PAF for J10B/C nothing will change their mind about j10 family.
i think 36 J-10C was a good idea.

F-22 was also called a 4th-generation fighter by USA. But its Fighter jet Generation Reference follows the Russian one later.

Dear TVC alone might not induce the interest of PAF in J-10 which is a very good aircraft, but it will have the same limitation as JF-17 which is 3 external fuel tanks on hard points which in terms of number limit the weapon carrying capability on both fighter jets, because of this even though J-10 can carry more weight but the number of weapons on both jets will effectually remain the same; so the question is why induct a new platform IF it is not increasing the firepower on practical grounds.

J-10 might be ideal for PAF with CFT as this will leave 2 hard points for heavy payload. TVC is not that important for PAF which is having the doctrine for air to air engagement based on energy manoeuvrability.

NOTE: this my guess work/assessment which may or may not be wrong
